Two stars just for really nice employee. Word escape room. Just imagine half empty room, barely styled with just regular locks all around. No logic required , just find keys and open everything. We did emergency exit and the hardest part was one of the locks that was broken and took us 20 min to open. Very upsetting, it cost as much as other places but no interesting clues or puzzles. One of the clues was literary a screwdriver and you had to use it, when usually in escape rooms you would use your logic and not power to go ahead in the game. The most annoying was response of the employee after I told them that one of the locks is broken and doesn’t work, he said that they know🤷🏻♀️ he got a hint because we thought that we doing something wrong, they refused our time by 5 minutes and didn’t even pay attention that we already were trying to open that lock for 10 minutes… There are a lot of better alternatives. Don’t waste your time…

They didn't notify us that the room we had booked was broken before we got there, they let us change rooms, the special effects in the room we did were pretty cool

The room was dirty and insanely hot. We also got the code and the last lock was broken and would not open, the worker even tried the same code and could not explain why it wouldn’t work. So crappy equipment is why we lost. Could also get no refund. Stay so far away from this place, it’s trash.

We decided to go to Bingemens for their escape room, which we did Emergency Exit. We are from London and have done all but two rooms in our entire city, and we have done rooms in Hamilton (two escape places there). We know escape rooms. We do not claim to be experts, and we don't always escape, but we take our failures because it helps us escape others in the future and we enjoy the challenge of a well built escape room. This was the worst experience we have ever had. Not only do you guys take time away for hints (nowhere else does that anymore since we're there for fun and escape rooms are costly), but we were told that nothing should need more than two fingers of force to open it. We ended up using a hint for the second letter lock, and we got the word, which was the word we had already been trying for fifteen minutes, and it would not open. We had also lost 5 minutes of our time for that hint, which we already were doing. So my partner decided to YANKKKK the lock hard and it opened... we lost all that time because of a lock that NEEDS to be replaced. Then the screw heads were super stripped, and it was hard to keep the screwdriver attached to get the screws off. Finally we got to the second room. The flashlight was very dim and did little to illuminate the dark room, eraser was ripped in half, and the combination box with they key inside needs to be mounted on a wall, it is not something that should be held; and it too was not opening easily and we had to use force. We ended up leaving because none of the clues have any connection, and honestly, it is the worst room we have done. Then, when we told the kid at the counter, it just did not seem like he believed us... we are three grown adults. We have zero reasons to lie to you guys. He did offer to add time to the clock to finish, but the experience had already been ruined. What makes it completely and utterly worse... Today (June 23, 2024) is my birthday, and it really just ruined it because I wasted 100+ dollars to be ripped off by a room that needs to be updated.

Disappointing. We tried the ‘Shaft’ escape room with our nephew. There were a lot of issues that made it impossible to figure anything out. Firstly it is too dark to actually see anything. Secondly the paper they gave us with the initial clues were faded so even once we took our phones out to try and read them- most of the clues were almost completely faded out. We asked for a ‘cheat’ clue within the first 15 minutes and nobody came. Eventually after signalling a few times- a staff member eventually came. He said the faded out clues were part of the experience! LOL We weren’t able to progress at all because even though we had the right combination for the first lock- the staff member told us you had to sort of fiddle around with it to get it open. There were other clues we completed correctly that didn’t work for us either. On top of all that- the room is covered in a white dust that got all over our clothes which we were not warned about. What a giant waste of a $100.

Oof started out ok, we solved the first puzzle but were supposed to go through door that was very difficult to open so wasted a bunch of time (respecting the don’t be rough rule didn’t work out for us). Once in the next room no real rhyme or reason about what to do next. Been to way better escape rooms elsewhere. Not worth the cost.
