They say stricter dress code but we got in dressed casually. This club on a Saturday night felt like it was full of 21 year olds so wasn’t really our vibe. Very young crowd, sort of awkward if you’re in later 20’s/30’s

I have visited Eve multiple times and previously left a 4-star review approximately six months ago. In that review, I noted that while the venue, ambiance, and management were enjoyable, the bottle-service experience could be more enthusiastic. That review was written in good faith and based on my direct experience as a customer being invited by the owner of the establishment. Recently, I was invited back by the venue to participate in and host a pop-up event. Unfortunately, during this visit, I experienced a serious and concerning interaction that completely changed my assessment of this establishment. While in the restroom, I was cornered by a bottle-service employee who identified herself as “Rain.” She aggressively confronted me about my months-old review, told me she did not believe I should ever return to the club, and insisted that my review was unnecessary. During this interaction, she stood in a way that prevented me from exiting the restroom until I verbally acknowledged her. Another employee was present, though she did not identify herself. I made it clear that my review was not personal, thanked her for her opinion, and removed myself from the situation. Less than five minutes later, while I was in my private section, the same employee, “Rain”, entered the section without permission, appeared visibly agitated. She moved toward me in a manner that suggested the situation was about to escalate physically. I could not clearly hear everything she was saying, but the attempted confrontation was crass and alarming. My party and I immediately got up, and security was alerted. Security did nothing. My party and I left immediately, as the situation was obviously crossing professional boundaries. I am disabled and routinely assess venues not only on atmosphere, but on staff training, safety, and accessibility in social interactions. Being confronted, blocked from leaving a restroom, and later approached again in a private section is not only unprofessional — it is truly unsafe for someone with a disability to experience. If it had been another patron, I wouldn’t be leaving this review. No employee at ANY establishment should ever feel comfortable to approach a customer that way, disabled or not. What made this particularly concerning is that: • This confrontation was explicitly tied to a prior customer review • It involved an off-duty employee • It occurred after I was invited back by the venue • Management and/or security did not immediately intervene or de-escalate Regardless of how a staff member feels about a review, retaliating against a guest — especially in enclosed spaces — is truly unacceptable. As someone who writes google reviews for a living, with millions of views on my reviews annually in Honolulu - I have never experienced something like this before in my entire life. I want to be clear: I have previously enjoyed aspects of Eve, and this review is not written lightly. However, after this experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this venue to guests who value personal safety, professionalism, or appropriate boundaries between staff and patrons.
