Evergreen Community Center is a vibrant hub for all ages, offering everything from senior nutrition programs to youth camps and fitness classes. The facility is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with multipurpose rooms, open outdoor spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere that supports lifelong learning and wellness. In October 2024, the outdoor area near the center served as the site of a Scout-organized picnic, bringing together families and youth for an afternoon of games, food, and bonding. The space comfortably supported the gathering, with nearby amenities that made setup, activities, and cleanup seamless. It’s a great example of how accessible public spaces enhance community-led events and encourage connection.

I rate it only 3 stars because I'm comparing it to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Golden Gate, and all those other parks out there and also because the grass is diing or gone in some parts. I love this park more because it is close by and on the weekdays it is a nice place to sit and read and watch the squirrels, ravens and the occasional hawk enjoying their freedom. All the people with their funny dogs out there can also be good entertainment on those boring days. You don't get to see all this in most of those bigger parks.
