He doesn’t do the work on the timeline agreed upon so hope you don’t need it when he says it will be ready. This happened twice so shame on me. The same thing was happening to another customer as I was picking up my shirt. Never again. & he also charges too much $$. Cheaper and better options nearby.

ZERO STARS! — This place is an absolute JOKE. Let me be very clear: Expert 1 Hour Alteration in Houston is one of the most unprofessional, disorganized, and careless businesses I’ve ever dealt with. I dropped off my pants to Ismail (the owner) on 11/6/25, was PROMISED next-day pickup, and was told that he would call me on 11/7/25 with the pickup time. Guess what? NO CALL. NO UPDATE. NOTHING. Fast-forward to 11/14/25 — an entire WEEK later — and I had to walk into the shop myself because apparently basic communication is too much effort for them. I showed Ismail my receipt with the clearly written pickup date, and he looked completely lost. He didn’t remember me, didn’t remember the pants, nothing. He goes to the back… and comes out with my pants in the exact same condition as when I dropped them off. The SAME yellow pins he used to measure them were still stuck in the fabric. Meaning: They never touched my pants at all. For a whole week. And the icing on the cake? He didn’t offer ANY kind of accommodation — no discount, no rush service, no attempt to fix the situation. NOTHING. Just a dry “I’m sorry” like that excuses a week of zero work and zero communication. This place shouldn’t even be allowed to call itself “expert” or “1 hour.” They can’t even manage honesty or basic customer service. If you value your time, money, or sanity, take your clothes ANYWHERE else. This shop is completely unreliable and absolutely not worth the headache. Avoid it at all costs.

Awful! Just awful! The owner is rude and doesn’t adhere to his timelines as to when items will be ready. He makes up pricing and is quite expensive for a substandard job. He also has the audacity to “trash talk” other people’s work. Very unprofessional and there are many other tailors in the area who will appreciate your business!

I’ll title this review “a blessing in disguise” My family & I visited this shop on 9/20 to drop off a few garments to be altered before our trip. The guy said no problem and we agreed that we would pick them up on the 4th (or at least we thought). The whole interaction seemed rushed and the guy didn’t really show enthusiasm in our initial consultation. We return on the 4th and our order was not ready. He claimed we scheduled a pick up for the 9th even after stating that we’d be traveling beforehand. My husband was furious and said he would not pay the full price due to the misunderstanding. The guy said he doesn’t like when people say that and we can go elsewhere. COOL! No problem. Took the pins off and took it to an alterations shop in Chinatown that is doing the entire job for $120 less. They may be a great, convenient shop for others but unfortunately we did not have that experience.
