My son and I had an excellent experience at the team. The entire team was professional, patient, and genuinely caring. They took time to explain everything clearly, without rushing. We felt listened to and respected. Doctor Nguyen was knowledgeable, ethical, and thoughtful in their recommendations focused on what was truly best for us. The office was well organized, calm, and welcoming. It’s rare to find a medical practice that combines high professional standards with real human care, but this place truly does. In the past few years I’ve been to 4 different eye doctors. I’ve been struggling because of optic nerve hemorrhage and some loss of vision as aftermath. I had come to the point that I didn’t want to go for appointments anymore because of the lack and of information I’d receive coupled with other doctors and their cold and alarming manner. We moved to Dallas and I was still dragging my feet about getting an eye appointment. I needed someone who had newer technology and could examine my eyes without dilation drops. I found Eye Pieces online and read such amazing reviews and saw they had the technology for a drop-less exam so I scheduled an appointment with them. Oh. My. Goodness. Today I went to Eye Pieces (my anxiety was high). My appointment began with such a kind and calm lady who did the testing and went through my health history. Then Dr. Jaime Gonzales came in. His demeanor disarmed my anxiety and he thoroughly explained the condition of my eyes. He was so good at communicating and not being alarming. As long as I’m in Dallas this will be my eye doctor. (My husband is now looking forward to scheduling here as well.) If we move I may have to fly in for appointments.
Jacob Durkin was absolutely fabulous. From the very start, he was friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to help me pick out frames that actually worked for my face, giving honest, thoughtful feedback about why certain styles weren’t a good fit and which ones really were. There was zero pressure and no push toward higher-priced frames. It was never about cost — it was about what I felt comfortable in and what truly looked good. His attention to detail stood out, and I really appreciated how confident and clear he was in explaining his recommendations. While I was going through my appointment, Jacob had already pulled several additional frames based on the styles I’d been gravitating toward, so he was completely ready when I was. I never felt rushed, and the whole experience felt easy and well thought out from beginning to end. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. I would absolutely go back to Jacob for all of my frames going forward and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great, no-pressure experience.
I’ve been a patient of Eye Pieces for years. Drs. Nyugen and Chris have taken excellent care of me over the years from troubleshooting peculiar findings to routine wellness and check-up visits. Prescriptions are always spot on and comfortable. They are set with great care. Dr. Chris has even directly responded to my email inquires sent to the office when eye infections or inflammation have caught me off guard between visits. You never feel like a number at Eye Pieces, in Dallas or Plano, but they do have a number 1 fan in me. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found Eye Pieces over a decade ago now, and Eye Pieces is very lucky to have found Dr. Chris!
