I recently moved from Austin where I was a member at an F45 for 3 years and a trainer for several months. I was worried about starting somewhere new but so far I love this gym. It is a VIBE! If you’re looking to just drop in and mess around this isn’t the place for you. But, if you care about intentional workouts, proper form and attentive coaches then this is your spot. In Austin the F45 workouts almost never made me sore but with the direction of the coaches I can tell I am working and strengthening different muscle groups, even when using lighter weights. I was surprised to see some of the bad reviews since I haven’t seen or experienced anything remotely threatening or negative. I think the equipment is in good condition and anything “dirty” is dragged in by members who don’t bring a change of shoes, and that is cleaned throughout the day. I highly recommend this gym, but be prepared to get critiqued and for some real NY/NJ vibes from the music and the coaches - it’s awesome.
Best Hyrox workout I have found. The JC team is great they even workout with you to show proper form instead of just telling you what to do. It’s pretty intense so I recommend starting with the F45 strength training classes first.
Female members should be aware before joining this gym. There seems to be an ongoing issue with inappropriate behavior toward women. One of the managers was recently terminated for following female members home, and there have been other incidents involving uncomfortable or suggestive advances from certain coaches. I personally experienced mild sexual harassment during one of my classes, which made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable. This is not an isolated situation, it reflects a broader lack of oversight and professionalism. I do not recommend this gym, especially for women who value a respectful and secure workout environment.
Not a good environment. The coaches are extremely loud and spend the entire class yelling in your ear. It feels like they’re all competing with each other to prove who’s the better coach, which really affects the atmosphere and the members’ experience. The management is disorganized, and the gym isn’t particularly clean. I’ve done a few passport visits to this location, but honestly, it’s overpriced for what it offers. Most of the equipment is outdated and poorly maintained. By comparison, F45 Downtown Jersey City has newer equipment, including a proper squat rack, and a much more professional setup. When you pay premium prices, you expect a return. Unfortunately, at this gym, you won’t get it.
I started going twice a week thru classpass but the workout was so darn good that i signed up for an unlimited membership and go 5 times a week. The people here have changed my life. Highly recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in a workout that pushes them to being their best!
