I had an amazing experience with Finesse Alterations recently. I required alterations to a delicate pleated bridesmaid dress on short notice. My call was taken on a public holiday, and they fit me in first up on the next business day without an appointment. They were very helpful and patient during the consultation and put me at ease with their recommendations (particularly after being turned away by another seamstress who said the dress could not be altered). The dress was ready for collection within a couple of days. I couldn't have been happier with the service and the alterations and will definitely use them again.

DO NOT GO HERE! Long-Time Customer No More I have been a loyal customer of this alterations business for over 5 years, even before they opened their Bundall store. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here over the years, and even overlooked minor mistakes like hems constantly coming undone or inconsistent finishing... all because I wanted to support a local business. But after my recent experience, I won’t be going back. I was quoted over $750 to alter one dress and one skirt, which is not just excessive, it’s borderline robbery. Given my history with the store and knowing their prices as I've had many items altered before, I didn’t expect to be blindsided with such an outrageous price, especially without a proper quote before any work was started. I was told I needed to pay $160 just for cutting tulle, something I easily could have done myself had I known. They had already cut into the dress before even confirming whether I wanted to go ahead with that pricing, incredibly unprofessional. Speaking of professionalism - the attitude from staff was equally disappointing. They made it very clear how busy and understaffed they were, as if my presence and business were a burden. I was treated like an inconvenience, not a valued customer. I even tried to make an appointment by phone and was met with rudeness and a dismissive tone. Instead of taking proper care with the dresses, they tried to cut corners by altering from the sides instead of the zip, clearly unwilling to put in the effort for a proper. After everything given the loyalty and the thousands I’ve spent, I walked away, refusing to proceed with the alterations. They’ve changed, and not for the better. What once felt like a trustworthy, customer-focused business now feels like a cash grab with zero regard for long-time clients. Extremely disappointed. The only reason they have 5 star reviews is because when you're a new client you can leave a 5 start review for a discount.... which obviously everyone needs with their prices.

Amanda made the process feel so easy! After going to multiple alterations places (both turning me away). I walked into Amanda‘s store and she made me feel like what I wanted was a breeze! As well as being so friendly and welcoming even when I had a very short time to get my wedding dress done! Would HIGHLY recommend seeing Amanda at Finesse Alterations!! Thank you!!!
