I took 2 of my ball dresses to be altered and Barbra did an amazing job! Both dresses were brought up gorgeously and I cannot wait to wear them. I feel so much more confident after having them altered and will definitely be back with future clothes! Cannot recommend Barbra enough.

Barbra is fantastic— I brought in a suede jacket which belonged to my grandmother and her hand-sewn repair is basically invisible. So’s her mending on the damaged buttonholes of a sleeveless wool gilet I’d recently bought. Not only that, but her approach is top notch too, with a tailored consultation talking about how to care for the garment and going over the repair. I’ve already started a small pile of further work to bring her. I won’t be going to anyone else for alterations in the future!

I entrusted a Tom Ford suit to Barbra at Finnieston Alterations, and the result was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, craftsmanship, and understanding of high-end tailoring was immediately evident. The suit was expertly tapered, side seams and waist taken in perfectly, and the hems finished immaculately using genuine Tom Ford kick tape. The fit now feels completely bespoke — sharp, elegant, and exactly as Tom Ford intended, but tailored precisely to me. Barbra’s knowledge, precision, and pride in her work really stand out. This is not just alterations; it’s true tailoring at the highest level. I wouldn’t trust luxury suits to anyone else in Glasgow. Highly recommended for anyone who values quality, fit, and expert craftsmanship.

Barbra altered my daughter dress for her 18th party last minute. She took her beautiful dress and turned it into a completely new dress. She was amazing didnt rush us at appointment, constantly in contact with me and she is such a lovely person and i wouldnt go anywhere else now. 100 million perfect recommend x

Barbra is an exceptionally talented tailor and designer. She did an amazing job with my wedding dress alterations and from our first fitting I knew I could trust her completely. She made the whole experience really relaxed. Barbra’s workmanship was excellent and the dress fitted like a dream on the day and I felt both comfortable and confident. I have since been back to Barbra to have a vintage jacket and skirt altered and again, was so impressed by Barbra’s skill and attention to detail and am excited to wear my items now they fit properly! Barbra is a lovely person too and always enjoy our chats. Her studio is easy to get to in the heart of Finnieston and not far from city centre either. Barbra’s prices are very fair also given the quality of her work. Her own designs are also beautiful! Highly recommend and I wouldn’t go to anyone else for alterations. 👗
