I submitted by photos on 12/18 (almost a month ago) and haven't gotten an update, email or any news on the progress of my photos. I know the holidays are typically a busy time but any type of communication with customers especially after they already paid is standard across other similar businesses. The website acknowledges this but says that wait times are expected to increase by about 1 week, not 3.

Support local businesses! This was my first time developing film so it was entirely a new arena for me. The turnaround was totally worth the wait, now since receiving the photos I have been beaming with the turn-out (although my chubby fingers did get in the way of many shots). I definitely recommend and definitely will be back!

To make a long story short: Flats Presents is not very trustworthy and I have some apprehension about using their services for future scans. I’ve had two 35mm rolls developed in the last two years as I’ve gotten into film photography, and my last one in April of 2025 was missing pictures (and very grainy). I had 27/36 and no response about what happened to the other images. The email correspondence people were snooty about the extended turnaround time too. The people working inside are friendly enough and knowledgeable, but there are not enough classes to join - not broad enough either. If you’re not a stickler about the details like I am then this may be the spot for you. I’m still in between places for my most recent rolls to be scanned.

I drive from the coast to come here & get my film developed/processed. They always deliver the right results!! I’ve had my film processed at a few other places and FLATS is by far my favorite in Quality results. It’s always Christmas when I get my photos back from there. Not to mention the turn around time and customer service is amazing.
