Relocating to a new area comes with a long list of adjustments, and finding a stylist I could truly trust was at the very top of mine. From my very first visit to Flourish Curls, I felt completely at ease. My stylist took the time to understand my hair, my preferences, and what would work best for me—not just for the appointment, but for maintaining healthy hair long-term. The level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail is elite. I'm so grateful to have found someone who not only delivers consistently amazing results, but also creates such a welcoming and comfortable experience. Highly recommend!

If you have natural/textured hair, Flourish Curls Salon is the place you want to be. From the moment I stepped in the door I realized I was in an environment surrounded by skilled professionals. Sure I can find someone to style my hair, but at Flourish Salon their objective is more. I found all the stylists to be extremely knowledgeable and interested in the health, care, and characteristics of my hair. The salon offers many services that are of interest to us with natural hair. I found out that the salon also teaches you how to care and maintain your hair in between salon visits. Classes are even offered on various topics from creating protective styles to product knowledge. Sure there are other salons I could have gone to; and have but once I found Flourish, it was like kissing many frogs before finding my Prince! After each of my visits to Flourish Salon I look in my mirror each day and say, “Yep, still Fabulous!” Try Flourish Curls Salon and you can have the same AMAZING experience.

The stylists may be talented and wonderful, but the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Trying to book an appointment has been a complete nightmare. I have a wedding in May, and I’ve been attempting to schedule with them since December 2025 with absolutely no success. The online booking system doesn’t work, emails only receive automated responses that send you in circles, and calling is pointless because no one ever answers the phone. It’s honestly unacceptable to make clients go through this much just to book an appointment. At the end of the day, great service doesn’t matter if you can’t even get in touch with anyone. Extremely poor communication and a very frustrating experience overall.

I do not recommend this place at all. For anyone considering booking, apparently you only get 3 hours for your appointment and you get charged a $100 fee for excessive detangling, as I was told while there, even though I couldn’t find any of this information on the site (the only place I see about a detangling fee is if you add that service onto another service while booking. Didn’t see a policy). I came here for the 1st and the last time on 3/7/26. I will not be back. The entire experience was terrible. I feel as if unless you are a regular there, it is not a welcoming place to be. I also overheard employees talking very condescendingly about a potential client. My stylist was nice, but it was not a good experience. I was unaware that you were only allotted 3 hours for your appointment. My hair did take a while to detangle, so when I got to the bowl to have my hair washed, my stylist told me that they had to move her next appointment back because I was over the 3 hr limit, and they will need to charge me a $100 detangling fee. Mind you, I don’t see anywhere on the site about a fee or that you only get 3 hours for your appointment. I was already not having a good time, so I said fine. Also, while my stylist was still detangling my hair, an employee asked her what she was doing, even though she was clearly detangling my hair. Then the employee asked, “first time” referring to me being a first timer there. It was a weird exchange because I felt judged like I should know detangling my hair like this is unacceptable. Then, a potential client called into the shop and they heard they were a first timer, an employee made it a point to say “make sure they know about the $100 excessive detangling fee.” The stylist showed me where she needed to trim which was fine since it was only about 2 inches. As she kept cutting my hair, I saw my hair get even shorter. My hair was not damaged enough to warrant this short of a cut. What was supposed to be 2 inches now looked like 6 inches gone. I didn’t realize how short it really was until I got home. As she was styling my hair, she went to talk to another employee there. The stylist’s next appointment had arrived. My stylist and this employee stood about 5 feet behind me, and I heard the employee say how there isn’t enough time for my stylist to finish the service because now I’m cutting into the other clients appointment time and it isn’t fair to the other client. Understood, but again, no one said anything about us only having 3 hours for the appointment. If I was aware of that ahead of time, I wouldn’t have booked. The employee was telling my stylist that my options would be either they do the flat twists on me and still charge me the $100 fee, or give me 2 braids and take off the fee (since they technically didn’t do the service booked for). I thought it was really unprofessional to have that conversation within ear shot of me. The stylist came back and relayed the options. I said to do the braids and take off the fee. She braided my hair, and then I bought some recommended hair products. It was very uncomfortable checking out as no one was really speaking to me. My stylist had walked off without even saying anything else to me to take her next appointment. When I got home, I had to take the braids out because it felt so tight, and that is when I saw how short my hair was. I cried because my hair has not been this short since 2015. My hair is the same length as my bangs now. Years of growing out my hair is gone. I really would’ve appreciated her asking me before cutting my hair this short. I was really excited to have found this place since I haven’t found any other natural hair salons that detangle, wash, dry, and style hair, but I’m more disappointed that I did find this place. It did not feel like a supportive environment and felt extremely judgmental. The site promotes that “you can always sit with [them],” but the real vibes I got was, you can only sit with them if you’re able to be in and out. Now, I’m left with a short haircut that I have to grow out. I do not recommend.
