I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Forward Physical Therapy. I’m a runner and have been dealing with issues in my right leg due to a chronic neurological condition. Vince and Amanda easily identified some weak points and after working one on one with Amanda I’m a stronger and more confident runner, and am running without the pain I had before starting. If you’re looking for physical therapy in Omaha to recover from an injury or even to do some “pre-hab” to prevent getting injured, I highly recommend Forward Physical Therapy. I felt more like a professional athlete getting one-on-one coaching compared to the cookie cutter approach you might experience at a more traditional PT practice.
I am 62 years old and would classify myself as having a very active lifestyle, doing multiple forms of movement every day. Before coming to Forward PT I did a few shots in knee and hip to help manage pain but I needed someone to help me work toward regaining my range of motion (had meniscus surgery 2 years prior), which was half of what it had been. I tried a few other PT’s that had a more passive approach (which is great for some) but I wasn’t seeing improvement. Forward PT was different because they did a deep dive on my goals and understood I wanted to live a very active lifestyle without pain. We started off with movement/mobility type exercises and after a few weeks began including weight work. I probably got the most out of doing the weight work (the mobility/PT exercises were no doubt critical) because I realized that increasing my muscle mass in my quads, hamstrings and glutes was key to improving my stability in the joints that were compromised. Vince ‘encouraged’ me to do weights that I wouldn’t normally attempt. This is when the results really kicked inn and my fear about having restrictions eased, knowing I was strengthening every day. I will be going back to Vince for a tune up. Working with Forward PT as my physical therapist is an ongoing relationship to staying physically healthy and active. I truly can’t thank Vince and team enough and highly recommend anyone seeking physical therapy to check them out.
After dealing with a disc herniation that had me using a cane and limping, I cannot speak highly enough of Forward PT and especially Vince. As a Site Reliability Engineer, I need to be able to sit at my desk comfortably and move around without constant pain - something that seemed impossible before finding this Omaha physical therapy clinic. Before coming to Forward PT, I had tried other physical therapists and was even looking into surgery as an option. What made Vince different from other providers was that he actually sat down and took the time to learn my exact case, understand my struggles and goals, and assess my current state. He didn't just give me a generic program - he created something completely tailored to my needs. Vince has worked with me to go from barely being able to walk to deadlifting more than I ever have in my life - surpassing all my previous PRs! Each session, he focuses on targeting the muscles I feel are weakest, and he's helped me develop a weekly split that I genuinely enjoy following. The program is so personal and caring, and it's clear that my recovery and strength building are his priorities. Today, I can walk without a limp and lift heavier than ever before. I'm building muscle, losing weight, and experiencing the least amount of pain and discomfort in my back that I've ever had. I feel absolutely amazing! If you're looking for physical therapy in Omaha that goes beyond the standard approach and truly invests in your recovery and long-term health, I cannot recommend Forward PT and Vince enough. They've given me my life back and then some.
Forward Physical Therapy + Performance has truly been a game changer! I can't say enough great things about Forward and the incredible care I’ve received from Dr. Vince Van Haute. He’s not only helped me better understand how to care for my back, but also how to support my overall physical health in a sustainable way. Despite working a desk job, I have always been an active person and want to continue that through my middle aged years. But since 2019, I’ve dealt with two spinal surgeries, numerous smaller back procedures, and have worked with three different physical therapists. While those efforts mostly addressed the major issues, I was still dealing with lingering pain after workouts and never truly felt “healed.” That all changed when a friend in Omaha—who was working with Forward to improve her athletic performance—recommended I give them a try. I’m so glad I did. After just four months of working with Dr. Vince, I’ve seen a noticeable increase in strength and a significant reduction in pain. His one-on-one approach has been key in retraining my muscle memory, which had become misaligned while compensating for my back injury. I really value how he coaches me through each movement, ensuring I use proper form and technique—skills I can now carry into my own daily training with confidence. For the first time in years, I’m living without constant, nagging back pain. I’m no longer hesitant to try new exercises out of fear I’ll hurt myself again. Dr. Vince emphasizes training for lifelong health, and you can tell that philosophy is at the core of everything he does. Thanks to Forward Physical Therapy + Performance I finally feel solid again—strong, capable, and optimistic about what I can do next.
I've got a stressful job with a sporadic work schedule. I was training for a half ironman when I injured myself with only 6 weeks before the event. I figured I needed more than a standard physical therapist if I wanted to be able to recover and be able to race. A couple of friends recommended the therapists at Forward PT. Amanda created a plan and as I stuck with it, she got me back to where I was able to race and complete the half ironman. I've already signed up for two more events in the next 6 months and so she is making sure I get as strong and injury free as I can. The program isn't just stretches and exercise bands. We do lots of dynamic movements that challenge lots of muscle groups and help to improve form and prevent injury. We then do heavy lifts to improve strength while I still continue with my endurance training. I really enjoy the 1-1 training and the ability to regularly contact Amanda in case I miss or need to adjust workouts based on how I am feeling. I have 3 months until my next event and I am much stronger and in a much better position to compete than I was last year. If you are anywhere near Omaha and need a physical therapist, I highly recommend Amanda and Forward PT. Especially if you are like me and have a busy schedule and want to recover from or prevent injury as you train.
