Manicure Peter - Talented nail tech (acrylic below) Pedicure Nick - Friendly, patient and thorough Editing review down to 4 stars due to their appointment / scheduling system or lack thereof. I recently made an appointment only to return hours later to be turned away because they overbooked my tech. Then I returned twice after to sit and wait excessively with barely a greeting and acknowledgement. I have since found Ocean Spa & Nails who were extremely warm and welcoming and they accommodated me right away as a walk in. The salon is more spacious and they have a great selection of complimentary drinks they offer whilst you get your nails done.
If I could give zero stars I would. 1. Injury 2. Not the nail design I wanted 3. Terrible customer service 4. Possible racism? The first time I went it was alright, liked the design and felt like o could definitely go back to Hannah. Well, it was the worst mistake of my life. I went in to get my nails done and a pedicure, keep in my I had a very specific design in mind and even had backups in case she couldn’t do what I wanted. I was getting a specific design for a funeral mind you because it was matching colors the friend I lost loved. But of course I was unable to bring that in conversation because Hannah listened to absolutely nothing I tried to say. First she nicked me pretty bad with the nail drill on the side of my finger (which really sucked because I work with my hands and deal with dish water and whatnot). Then, after staring multiple times she could do the design I wanted no problem (and again I had backup designs in case), I had my phone with the picture up the whole time, and she had it on her phone facing her as she was doing my design, and I had mentioned that each nail design is a little different… well she just did whatever she wanted. When I excitedly mentioned that I couldn’t wait for the orange color on the design she acted surprised and said “there is no orange”, and I said yes there was and even zoomed in and she just said with a very annoyed attitude “ok fine I’ll add orange” and just kinda lightly swiped in on some nails. Then she kept trying to convince me that I was still wrong and that it just looks orange but isn’t because of the polish. The pedicure before hand seems fine, and then when I got home I realized the polish was pretty bumpy, and to make matters worse, after I came back into town from said funeral visit, my big toe nail felt kind of loose, and with further inspection, half of it seemed to just be lifted off the nail bed… so yeah, half of my toenail came off. My friend thinks I may have gotten and infection since I’ve never had this issue before this pedicure. Overall I’m very upset I spent the amount of money I did for the service, including the 20 dollar tip because I thought it was cheaper, she only told me the price for the nails minus the pedicure she gave me as well, and when I clicked the 20 dollar tip it was too late and I noticed the price was higher. Also very upset that I was charged and extra 40 dollars for a design that she did not even match, even with it right in front of her. After telling me with confidence that she could do it. Even without me bringing it, she continuously kept trying to tell me “it was going to be fine” and “I have my reasons for doing what I’m doing” oh and my personal favorite “it’s not gonna look like it is in the picture, because of your skin tone”. So apparently because I’m slightly darker completed, it affects the colors and the whole design!?? Oh yeah and there were hair fibers in my nails, in the polish. And the polish was already chipping off when I got home as well. I left a message and they left me one back asking me to call back to fix it, but honestly, after dealing with what I’m already dealing with, I don’t have it in me to debate with them for a refund, and there is no way im letting them go anywhere near my nails and toes again. Really unfortunate because my first experience made me think I could trust this place and Hannah, but I had to learn the hard way. The first photo is what the design was supposed to be, and the others are what I was given, including my broken toenail and the cut on my finger nail from the drill. This place is over priced and very dismissive with their service, at least Hannah was that is for sure.
foxy nails is amazing, ive been going to them for awhile now and they do an incredible job every single time. everyone there is so kind, their services are fast, the prices are great, and the nails last long! i especially love the work of hannah, tianna, and eric. all pictures below are nails from foxy nails 💕
The place is nice and clean. The people are very happy and welcoming. The lady that did my pedicure did a fantastic job. She was very detailed oriented. I was very satisfied with my pedicure. I also got an acrylic fill and was charged $70 plus the guy didn’t really do That good of a job. I have a lot of Little particles stuck in my nails that make my nails look bumpy and let me just Add that my nails weren’t even that grown out at all. I just wanted to change the color of my nails to match my toes and I was charged $70 for bumpy nails. My daughter’s nails were super cute though, and the girls were very friendly with her. Beyond nails is 40 dollars cheaper than this for the same service. If I ever come back here again, I’ll make sure the guy doesn’t to my nails. It wasn’t the owner. It was someone else.
I have gotten three manicures (gel x, gel x fill, and a gel manicure) and a pedicure. I love each technician here. I am always so happy with the product after treatment, and they always get me in quickly as a walk-in. I got my mom to come as well, and they were very thorough in explaining the different types of manicures to her so she could make the best decision. This is my new go-to spot for all things nails! The prices are reasonable, and you cannot beat the end product and kindness shown at this place.
