Terrible service. Staff standing around on a Sunday not offering any help. Really disappointing for what should be a great store. Went else where to what we wanted.

Had a great experience with Tori at Freedom Southport. She was so helpful, knowledgeable, patient. She let us take our time and would check back in with us every so often (we were there for a while!). Excited for our new lounge and dining chairs to arrive!

We had excellent service from Tori today. Very patient, knowledgeable and professional. We have been doing a lot of shopping for our new house and she has been the most helpful sales person we have come across!

Huge thank you to Matt and Charlee for all their help this weekend, we couldn’t have asked for better or more friendly service. Got everything we wanted with quick delivery times, great experience all round.

I purchased a matcha chair from Freedom and received it in winter last year. By October/November, the fabric had already noticeably faded despite very minimal use as I live alone. I followed all care instructions and even used their recommended care products, so I was genuinely surprised at the condition it deteriorated in such a short time. When I contacted head office, I experienced long delays and had to follow up multiple times before getting a response. I was eventually told the fading was due to “environmental factors” and that they would not assist further. This response was disappointing given the short timeframe, minimal use, and the fact the chair was only months old. I expected far better quality and customer support, especially as most of my furniture is from Freedom. Unfortunately, this experience has made me question the durability of their products and the after-sales service. I have a before and after pic

My wife and I purchased a Sorrento “leather” sofa from Freedom Furniture in April 2023, and within a relatively short period the material began peeling across multiple areas of the couch. This is not minor wear, it started in high contact areas and has progressively spread across the sofa. The couch has been used under normal household conditions, no pets, no cleaning products, no direct sunlight exposure, and Freedom has confirmed there was no misuse or maintenance issue. Despite this, Freedom has advised that this level of deterioration is considered “normal wear and tear” after just over 2 years, and has refused to provide any remedy. The sofa is still being marketed and sold as “leather”, however the way the material is peeling raises serious concerns about whether it is genuine leather. In my experience, genuine leather does not peel like this, it fades or softens over time. The condition of this sofa is far more consistent with a coated or lower quality material. Freedom’s position is that this is expected wear and tear, so buyers should be aware that, based on this response, this sofa may not be expected to last much longer than beyond the warranty period. I have also found multiple similar reviews from other customers reporting the same issue, which suggests this is not an isolated case. Very disappointing outcome especially for a product at this price point. I would have much rather resolved this issue with Freedom but my wife and I now need to engage a leather specialist and continue to pursue the matter further under Australian Consumer Law.
