The coffee is amazing (and fair trade, like all their goods). I tried the Indonesian dark roast which is grown on the side of a volcano and freshly roasted and ground. It is by far one of the highest quality coffees I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to try more! Edit: I found out that the coffees are roasted by Old Crown Coffee Roasters here in town, another great place you should check out :) I would also recommend the Divine chocolate which would pair very nicely with the coffee!

Just when I dare to think that Fort Wayne is a predictable place, I keep discovering more nooks and crannies like an English muffin here. Friends of the Third World was founded in 1972 and in its current location since 1978. I love right away how its founders have thought outside of their own world to make an impact of legacy all over the world. Literally. There are lovely handcrafted goods, art, books, coffee, chocolate, and more from all across the globe. I can soak up the eclectic and ethereal atmosphere as the house cat here (Oliver) does. The staff and manager here are golden. I love how they accommodated my handicapped friend (who recommended this place to me; they are a fair trade guru and this is definitely the place for that). There’s a lift on the side of the building where the staff is gladly assisting and welcoming. I definitely want to come back and meanwhile, I definitely recommend a visit here.

Amazing for unique, handmade gifts and delicious coffee and chocolate. Everything is very reasonably priced for the level of quality and craftsmanship. Definitely a hidden gem in Fort Wayne.

On eof my favorite little shops in town! Perfect for last minute xmas gifts or gifts of any sort. They have cute little cats that live in shop, the best chocolate and coffee in town, and a huge selection of handmade goods, from other countries. CHECK THEM OUT!
