Do NOT be fooled by appearances. Fun City on Riverdale Rd in Memphis, TN may look clean, but it is clearly not properly sanitized. After visiting this location, my niece contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease. A business designed for children should have strict sanitation standards, and this place failed at protecting kids’ health. This is extremely upsetting and unacceptable. Parents deserve better, and management needs to take this seriously before more children get sick. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND
I am writing this review because parents need to be warned about the serious safety issues at Fun City on Riverdale (3505 Riverdale Road, Memphis, TN 38115). This past Saturday, my 9-year-old daughter was injured due to blatant negligence at this location. She went down a rope in the soft block area, and the end of the rope was unraveled and exposed, causing a deep cut to her private area. We had to rush her to the ER, and she has already missed Monday and Tuesday of school because of the pain and the injury she suffered. This should NEVER happen at a children’s facility. What makes this situation even worse is that three of my daughter’s friends have also been injured at this exact location. That is not an accident, this is a clear pattern of ongoing safety failures and a complete lack of proper inspection, maintenance, and oversight. A business that claims to be family-friendly has a responsibility to ensure the environment is safe for children. Allowing equipment to deteriorate to this level shows a serious disregard for child safety and reflects extremely poor management at this location. Until Fun City on Riverdale takes full accountability, repairs hazardous equipment immediately, and puts real safety protocols in place, I strongly urge parents to avoid this facility altogether. No child should be put in danger because of preventable and obvious negligence.
My granddaughter had fun jumping. Sliding and playing in the ball pits but my problem was the restroom toilets didn’t flush and they were not clean enough or maintained properly for the women and girls. I can’t speak on the men’s restroom. I also believe they should serve food inside not just sodas from vending machines. So if u decide to have your children birthday here just be advised that you need to bring your own food, dessert and drinks unless you want to buy drinks from vending machines. Overall my granddaughter had so much fun enjoying her birthday here. Absolutely I will comeback but I will bring my own food. I had to go outside to buy hotdogs from a food truck for 15 bucks each that was set up next door. Please keep restrooms clean and fix the toilets.
So this is coming from someone who’s pretty picky — honestly, this place isn’t bad at all! We had my daughter’s 4th birthday party here. I originally wanted a private room, but they were already booked for the times we needed, so we settled for a table. I came to check the place out beforehand and everything looked fine, so I booked it. Of course, right after booking, I started seeing negative reviews (literally posted after I paid). Even a friend called after seeing the invite to warn me about bad experiences, so I was skeptical and considered canceling a few times. But my daughter really wanted it, and we’d already spent the money. I’m glad we went through with it — overall, it was a good experience! Our host was super nice and helpful, though I didn’t love that we had to track her down every time new guests arrived. The pizza took a while to come out, but they let you bring your own food, so we had wings, extra pizzas, drinks, and water ready. There was no weird smell (like some reviews mentioned), and the kids had an absolute blast! There’s a lot to do, and it’s definitely on par with what I’d expect from a kid’s party place. Overall, I’d give it a solid 7.5/10 — a fun spot for a birthday celebration! 🎉
My 4 year old had fun. I wouldn't want to be here when it's super crowded especially with a little one. Unless you pay to jump, the observation area is too far to keep an eye on your kid so I ended up going in. There are accessible areas for adults to navigate while the kids take the more challenging routes. It was a good number of things available. Trampolines, games, ball pits, slides, ninja course, climbing, basketball and soccer mini arenas. Definitely a great way for them to burn some energy and Memphis needs more kid friendly spaces.
