I found Tom online and brought my bar stools (3) to have the seats replaced. They were woven wicker. Now they are cushion soft with a Sunbrella fabric (very durable/cleanable). I am so pleased with the workmanship. They are like new, only better. The under seating has a heavy strapping, which is way more comfortable than a piece of wood with fabric. I highly recommend his services. Great price too.
I met Tom and Barbara when our daughter conducted a web search for a reputable furniture restorer. I'd done a search and hired someone who actually mistreated our furniture while moving it into his truck,(Drawers and more were snapping off left and right!), and then promptly got into an accident, turning beautiful family heirlooms into kindling. We felt sick to our stomachs. Tom said he would do his best to restore them and he was honest every step of the way. We are grateful that he took his time to rebuild the pieces, literally putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. Each piece was like a puzzle and he managed to located them all of the pieces, only filling in perhaps one or two pieces that couldn't be located from the "kindling pile" to secure the construction. Barbara swooped in and worked her magic on the finish, and the result was beautifully rebuilt, restored antique heirloom furniture that will live beyond our lifetimes. I can't thank Tom and Barbara enough for all that they did for our family. Tom, thank you for never giving up!
Warms my heart to see someone doing what they love. Repaired a beat up wooden chair I bought at Goodwill and its still rock solid 9 months layer! 👍 Going to take a coffee table as soon as I find a truck 🙂
