Coleman Sensei is a very knowledgable, kind, and empathetic human being. Not only does he teach martial arts, he also teaches culture, etiquette, courage, and resilience. A truly wonderful shining light of wisdom, who can really teach you how to persevere through the storms that life has to throw at you. To stand firm, and simply be chill in the chaos. Great sensei, great dojo, great martial arts!

Having returned after being away for 27 years, I am very happy with my experience so far. Coleman Sensei and his higher level student teachers are all very patient and take the time to help correct your form and movements. They teach using traditional Japanese methods and etiquette, yet as a new (even though I did attend classes years ago) student I never felt like I didn't belong. Part of the experience is learning those nuances and of course they are happy to explain and help you understand both the what and the why. There are also videos available on YouTube that I would encourage anyone interested in checking out to see some examples of the things you can learn on your journey. I hope you will join!
