While I have had a few lovely massages here, I have been disappointed by the phone staff and over-promised services. My husband wanted to surprise me for my 50th birthday with a spa day for a friend and me. He called multiple times, hoping the staff would help him work out some scheduling suggestions and treatment options to put together the "day." Not only were the two people he spoke with not overly helpful, they seemed impatient with him. He wanted the day to include lunch and an extra "complimentary" service of the Salt Cave (the site advertised it would be included given the amount we spent on services) -- both of which he discussed with staff over the phone. When my friend and I arrived for the big day, we were told that ordering food had to be done 48hrs in advance and that the salt cave was closed for the day. The concierge kindly let us DoorDash lunch so we didn't have to leave the spa between treatments, but it was not what my husband had planned. My final treatment of the day was a lymphatic drainage. I was FREEZING cold on the table, had someone who commented on my body and was quite frankly, rude. I left drenched with liquid and shivering. At $190, it was not a pleasant experience to end my day, and I wrote a comment card saying as much when I left (also shared with the woman and checkout who stared at me). I decided to give the spa another chance for my daughter's 16th birthday. I had a similar experience as my husband when booking via phone (i.e., not the most helpful staff), but again, had lovely massages. I noticed the salt cave was now open and asked the concierge if we could use it. We didn't qualify for the complimentary use based on our purchase of only 2 massages, so I explained that it had been closed the last time I was there and had qualified. The response was the she'd check and see if I could use it at a later date. No one ever got back to me. I waited to write this review, hoping the staff would "make it right" on either of these two different occasions -- either via a follow-up related to my terrible lymphatic session or inability to use the salt cave -- but heard nothing. It is very expensive for people to treat themselves to these services, and while I did receive lovely massages from the technicians themselves, I would've hoped for better customer service.
