Exceptional poor service from this company. I am now trying for months to get my car booked in for hail repairs. They are slow to respond and very aggressive on the phone- telling me they busy and they will call me to just book my car in. Don’t bother with using them.
Avoid this place at all costs. This repairer was recommended by our insurance company, and after having our vehicle for over six weeks, they returned it in a dirty state with poorly affixed panels and visible damage still present. We gave them a second chance to rectify the issues, but things only got worse, new minor damages appeared around the vehicle, and we eventually had to send it to another repairer to fix both the original damage and their substandard work. Their communication initially seemed great, but once they took delivery of the vehicle, it completely dropped off. We had to constantly chase them for updates. They promised completion on five separate occasions, and every time I had to call to find out it still wasn’t ready. Overall, zero-star workmanship and zero-star customer service. Highly unprofessional experience from start to finish.
They went above and beyond! Our car came back sparkling clean as well as fixed, which we certainly weren't expecting at all. And not only that, the reception girl went and presented our dilemma to the guys up the back and an Aboriginal guy cheerfully volunteered to drive it up to our carpark since we live really close. He really brightened my day and saved us a lot of trouble - what a champion! These guys really did us good and while we have no intention of getting the car bunged up again, if it happens I'd be picking these guys in a flash. There were a couple of fellas there with beaming smiles walking about the place while I was in the office, so I suspect it's a nice place to work as well. Five out of five stars 🌟
Fantastic service and amazing result! Dropped my car with them first thing Monday morning and had it back mid afternoon on the Wednesday. I expected front bar and bonnet repairs and full respray to be very costly but the end price was fair and very worth it. With the best of intentions, I hope I don’t have to use them again but if I did, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gabba smash again!
For the positive comments, all I can say is, either your repair has done good by luck, or just being fooled just because it looks “new” or “okay”. Probably most 5 stars review are friends or dummy accounts trying to boost the stars in review. Shall you find a third party professional to assess their jobs done in details, you will find how dark this place can go in term of repair works, nevertheless, not to forget, they are an authorized insurance repairer if you know what I mean. I have no doubt Gabba might be good decade ago, and surely it is not what it was. To anyone who really loves their car, especially those in their first claim like I did, who don’t know what to do or decide, I would strongly suggest you take a look at my case before considering sending it to Gabba. In the reluctant event of my 5 days old brand new car from a Not-At-Fault accident for smash repair, I was given every assurance that the car will be returned as per brand new condition which is logical. So, due to the parts had to backordered, I waited nearly 3 months before I got a date for collection. A day prior collection, I called and confirmed, so I took a day off as the time was not assured, they just simply can’t as they have to assess on the day itself before knowing the time will be ready. However on the day of collection, I was called that the car was not ready. They did notify me another date for collection, which again, time cannot be assured. I do respect each company has their own operation system, and I did appreciate they wanted to fix it right, but it looped for like 4 times, just imagine the inconvenience caused for the time I have taken off from my work, for the time not assured. Also spoken with their so called “manager”, whom was rude, and not willing to help, the very typical “sorry, there is nothing I can do”, whilst both reception ladies desperately trying to help, whom I believe they deserve the title better. Upon collection, it looks “okay” as I am not professional enough to assess if satisfactory job been done. Took it for a wash and took a picture to my mechanic. Spotted was the head lights were not aligned. He reckoned I send the car over. The nightmare followed: - radar sensor circuit clipboard was not clipped and mounted, was dangling inside the engine bay; - air filter box broken and not clipped properly; - exterior panels were not aligned - interior panel repair was done horribly but so called to industry standard - screws were loose; etc. So I sent it back right the next day, they said they would fix it. Then, I sent back to my mechanic again and worse: - almost all panels were not aligned and one was so tight it scratched the driver door; - radar sensor circuit clipboard was zip tied!!! - interior panel repair improved but not to new car standard, more to that, if it can be improved, why don’t get it right the first time?! - And more screws found loose, etc. Small deal huh? Not only it looped again, more problems arose: - exterior panels were still not aligned; - windscreen vipers were off range; - now screw went missing; As I sense frustration and revenge from the repairers, the cleanliness condition returned was freaking horrible, do remember I sent for a car wash before, more to that - secondary damages!!! - Window weather shields were scratched; - Fog light cover was scratched; - Side mirror cover was scratched; - Car key casing was scratched; (witnessed myself few times they just throw to tray without care) - Steering wheel leather was scratched; etc. Once again, the car was 5 days old before sending to Gabba. It is highly unlikely that such damages would have pre-existed as it too, acknowledged by the insurance assessor. However, “This is the best I can do, good bye” was all I got from the repairer as I showed them the car key. Photos I took were so much I can only select few. Also do note, I did provided them more than sufficient opportunities. All I can say is, this repair center is a typical “insurance repairer”, very unprofessional. Do think twice before sending to them.
