Nice……but. Expensive. 4 people was $800+. (Entree, mains plus wine). Food was good but for the money not exceptional. Service was good, atmosphere no problems.

The meats are cooked to perfection and the sides outstanding. I would recommend the Eye fillet steak (Bife De Lomo), brocolini & hassel back potatoes. We had a work Christmas dinner here. The venue was a little noisy on the night but certainly everyone was enjoying themselves. Excellent selection of wines with Old bush vine Grenache & Hey Diddle single vineyard shiraz, both SA wines, being our choice for the night.

Enjoyed dining at Gaucho with my family. The steak was the highlight, just melts in your mouth. The flavour of the steak was delicious!! We also enjoyed the empanadas & provolone cheese for entree and chips & pear salad with the steak. Service was outstanding!!

The steaks and meats were amazing and delicious. The seasoning the chips was great, loved the slight sweetness. But it was very expensive. For a nice restaurant it was a bummer that the service was crap. The fried lamb was different and tasted quite nice until the pieces that were straight up fat and tasted a bit unhealthy. Overall it was nice, but for the price and service im not sure id come back.

Mixed grill $100 was excellent value but only available Mon-Thu. Rib eye steak was good quality & cooked to order but for $90 including the steak & 4 tomatoes is steep. Tomato salad was fresh. Like others have said, male manager & other staff very unfriendly. Feel like dropping $400 wasn’t good enough for their standards. Not a place we would be going back for its price & the uncomfortable celebratory meal experience.
