My 30th birthday party DJ was absolutely fantastic. I didn’t even supply a playlist and the music was just perfect, banger after banger had everyone dancing all night long. Also happy to accept requests whenever although there weren’t too many because the music choice was so perfect!! Booking was so easy too, Lewis always responded in a timely manner and set up so quickly in such a short turn around time on the night. Highly recommend!

We hired Geordie Groovers for our wedding earlier this year, from the start the communication was brilliant, they listened to exactly what we wanted on the night and were open to requests, Andy did everything he could to make sure requests were played throughout the night. He was very approachable and welcoming all night. Great value for money since there is a lot of choice out there when looking for a dj. Arrived and set up promptly meaning no stress for us on the day. Highly recommend if you’re planning an event!!

We had Andy DJ at our wedding, he was absolutely amazing. He got in touch with me prior to the wedding to make sure he got everything perfect for us. I gave him a guide but was happy for him to gauge the vibes of our guests, which I'm so glad we did. There wasn't a moment where I thought the atmosphere would drop due to his music and we had so many compliments from the guests. I booked Geordie Grooves/Newcastle DJ Hire for my 40th with specific requests - a 90s/2000s nostalgic playlist and karaoke available throughout the evening (which I paid an extra £49 for). I spent a lot of time creating the playlist (which had over 200 songs included) because I wanted to capture the good times myself and guests had back then, which I was told I could send over to the DJ via spotify. The DJ assigned got in touch and I asked to send over my spotify playlist - he said he doesn’t accept spotify and to send it over in another format - which I did. The DJ used Chat gpt to then send me his suggested playlist. I was happy with the majority of it because a lot of the songs on his list were already included on mine. He mentioned that if I was not happy with anything on his list, it would be removed. I asked for him to remove certain songs….which were still played! There were also remixes of songs played which I did not request. He suggested modern club tracks towards the end but again, I specifically asked for 90/2000’s tracks as these were the tracks around when myself and guests were at uni clubbing etc but it appears that the DJ did not even consider the playlist I provided and was more concerned with playing his own playlist. Towards the end, I asked for dancehall and rnb to be played but instead modern club mixes were played. As expected, most of my guests sat down during these. When I reminded the DJ about the dancehall, he looked visibly annoyed and eventually switched. It was awkward. As soon as dancehall was played, all of my guests got up on the dancefloor! However, the most disappointing part was the karaoke. I was told it would run all night and guests could simply come and request songs anytime. In reality, it was boxed into a very short slot and then stopped! When guests (and myself) later approached the DJ to request songs, we were told karaoke was finished! Eh, how could it be finished?! Even though I had paid for it as an add-on. My guests and I absolutely love karaoke and wanted to make it a memorable feature of the night. I should have just done it myself, which I was originally going to do with the venue’s screen and mics but I wanted to make the whole night an experience for guests. Overall, the start of the evening was great, but the ending left me and my guests disappointed. The DJ was more concerned with playing his own playlist with tracks and remixes I specifically asked to be removed and I didn’t get the karaoke service I paid an extra £49 for. I would most likely recommend another DJ service in Newcastle if you have a special event. I’ve contacted the company but haven’t received much in a way of a response.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to our wedding Reception DJ Andy! He was absolutely amazing and our guests loved him! We had several compliments regarding him throughout the night and nothing was too much trouble! Andy made sure to be in touch leading up to the day providing me with any details and plenty of reassurance and assistance! When looking for a Dj I found it really stressful and some people were really pushy, not Geordie Groovers! From the moment we enquired I was provided with all the information and not pressured at all! Payment was smooth and hassle free and when we requested an invoice it was provided with no issues. I would 1000% recommend and will be using Geordie Groovers again for any occasions! Thank you again Andy we are so appreciative and you made our wedding reception amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
