The tour is ok, the holiday lights hanging from the trees make the experience. It’s not an exciting ride, the tour guide provides a narrative telling you about the history of the area. it’s a slow 30 minute ride. Pro: Classic tour Cons: - Long wait in line before you get in - Pricy about $15 a person - No excitement - 30 minutes long I personally enjoying walking the river walk and watching the boats go by over riding on the boat.
Had a great time on the narrated boat ride. We did it on a Tuesday evening on 12/16/25, so we saw all the Christmas lights it was great. Our guide Jared was great and gave us plenty of information. Certainly worth the money for a fun experience.
Jazz was our tour guide and very good one. Told us the history and added singing and jokes for laughter. You board the boat and cruise the river. We went for a Bday celebration around Christmas and it’s very festive in San Antonio at Christmas!
The Riverwalk in December is a must see. Even as someone who lives in San Antonio, we still learned things on the narrated tour. The lights are beautiful, but it does get chilly quickly. Next time we will need to do the holiday cocoa cruise!
This was a good experience. You hear a bit about the history and architecture. It was cool. It was too crowded and they did not accommodate for baby and parents so we had to sit separated, that’s unacceptable. Also did not help with stroller.
