We love gold standard!!! We recently moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a new groomer. So happy with how all our dog’s cuts have turned out (we have an shihtzu for reference). They are always consistent and efficient, while remaining caring and kind!
Molly and her team at gold standard are absolutely amazing. They are true professionals and have immense knowledge of the trade. I always feel so comfortable dropping off my Bouvier de Flandres with her. I am so thankful that we found her, both my boy Groot and I love all the special care they give. I 1000% recommend them. Sierra did fantastic as always with our boy Figgy. He’s been her regular well over a year now and has been the only groomer we’ve trusted with him. Awesome experience every time, consistent results, and extremely professional.
Brought my dog almost 2 months ago and requested my poodle to be dyed back her original color which was reddish brown. I was told that this can be done at gold standard dog grooming by their staff. Brought her in for an appointment and I was told the color they had was too orange after performing a test strip on her stomach, I agreed that they could order the correct color and book for the full dye at her next appointment. Fast forward to the next appointment, I came to pick honey up and was informed at her PICKUP that the color was dark and not what they anticipated. This color was NOWHERE near what I asked for and what was told to me can be done. I complained about this to them and they told me I could bring her back the next day to be washed with “lemon” to lighten up the color. That did not work . I was then told via text they were confident that she would fade out to a perfect red color that I wanted over the weeks. This did not happen. Fast forward to the grooming appointment today, which should have not been scheduled after the disaster and lack of accountability from the previous appointment. I was greeted by staff here at gold standard and told that honey was not going to be cut short because she isn’t matted, while they held her and observed her fur. I receive a text during her appointment with a picture of her fur , which looks HORRIBLE. Her hair is very short with brown patches all over her. When I expressed this is unacceptable and the second time I have been unsatisfied with her groom and lack of communication, the response from gold standard showed once again a lack of accountability. Will never be recommending anyone here and I will not be returning ! I will upload pictures of how my dog originally looked , the dark chocolate color they dyed her that I did not ask for , and how she looks today .
I can’t say enough good things about Sierra at Gold Standard Grooming! She does an amazing job with both of my dogs — my senior husky who has pretty bad anxiety and my fluffy Samoyed puppy. The team is so gentle, patient, and understanding, especially with my husky, who usually gets nervous during grooming. They’re also super quick, efficient, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of care and results you get. Both dogs always come back soft, clean, and smelling wonderful. You can tell they truly love what they do and care about each pet they work with. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and compassionate groomer!
