Gallery is beautiful but I had a very strange experience here. I booked to come to the 'creative lunch break', which I expected to be some kind of workshop to create a simple craft with a social element. I work from home so was looking forward to the company. I arrived and the staff on reception brought me through to the hub and gave me a selection of colouring sheets to do, which I found a little simplistic but fine. They said chloe would be along soon to facilitate, but no one ever came through. I sat on my own (there were no other participants) doing a colouring sheet for an hour, ate my lunch, and left. It was also advertised that tea, coffee, and biscuits would be provided but they weren't. I feel quite disappointed by this. This was advertised as a workshop that will benefit mental health, but my mental health was worse on leaving. No one came to chat with me, I could hear the staff on reception gossiping from where I sat and I felt quite uncomfortable. I hope that this feedback is taken on board and that the 'workshop' is improved for future visitors
Great spot will be back
Gorgeous new space for the gallery in the old Craft world building. There is good disability access and a lift to higher floors. Fabulous craft area for kids at the front and lots of great exhibition space. Staff are friendly and there are always lots of different exhibitions, workshops or activities on.
The space where the exhibitions are located is beautiful and the staff is courteous and professional. I highly recommend the gallery. Thank you very much friends🤩
