I have been with the golds gym family for a little over 20 years. I love the gym. I love the family. I love the staff. I love everybody. That’s an amazing gym.

Their website advertises a “Free Pass”. This sounded great to me since I travel for work. I filled out the form online, it said I was all set, so I ordered an Uber from my hotel to the gym. Once I got here, I explained to the girl at the front desk that I had filled out the form for the Free Pass online. She looked confused and grabbed the girl behind her who said that they no longer accept day passes. I told her that their website still advertises the passes. She said “I know, but we don’t accept them anymore. So you’ll have to buy a day or a week pass.” The day pass was $27.06 with tax, which is insanely high. If I hadn’t paid for the uber to get here already, I would’ve left. This is just a very poor example of transparency on their part. If you don’t accept free day passes, take it off your website, and advertise the price that you’re charging at the front desk.
