It seems incongruous to rate a divorce attorney 5 stars considering the subject matter is often painful and heartbreaking, Jonathan and his team at Goranson Bain Ausley earned every bit of it. Jonathan and his team were supportive, extremely knowledgeable, and wise. They were prompt, honest, and concise with my questions and concerns, and were absolute professionals while still being friendly and warm. My hope and prayer for everyone is that you never have to go through a divorce, but if it happens to you, you should call Goranson Bain and Ausley and ask for Jonathan.
Sarah did a great job helping me through this uncomfortable process. Both her and her mentor Esther were not only worried about protecting me financially, but both they were instrumental keeping my mental health in check. The entire firm is spectacular!!
At the lowest and hardest point of my life, this law firm and Ryan Baurele came to my rescue and saved me from my situation. Always quick to respond, even after hours and weekends. Ryan and Victoria truly saved my life and their dedication to their clients is remarkable. They operate with Christian-based values and made me feel supported at a time when I needed the most. I will always be grateful for their support and help - they changed my life for the better! Thank you for all you do and for ALWAYS going above and beyond to support me and my children.
I contacted Jeff Domen at GBA when I started to worry that my marriage was unsustainable. During a one hour discussion Jeff helped me understand the process, pitfalls and importantly, the most likely outcome (custody, finances, etc). I didn't execute on the divorce until 9 months later. I had another conversation with Jeff and found that he was very consistent in his predictions. He also actively and genuinely dissuaded me from perusing any contentions paths, which I appreciated because there is an inherent financial motivation for lawyers to stir conflict. Once we were in the process, I quickly realized I just needed to take Jeff's advice at each step. Some of those steps were uncomfortable for me, but had I not taken them, I think my process would have taken far longer and been much more stressful and expensive. I would also note that I got amazing support from Becky, a paralegal that works with Jeff. Both Jeff and Becky were very responsive and available when I had questions or concerns. Divorce is expensive. And the hourly rates can be eye popping. That said, I appreciated Jeff's focus on limiting his billed hours by pushing work to less expensive (but very capable) colleagues. In the end, my process was fairly quick and the outcome was shockingly close to what Jeff predicted during our first discussion. If you find yourself in this unfortunate situation, I cannot recommend Jeff and Becky enough to help you through it.
Google wont let me write the long review that I want to! My counsel is probably having a laugh right now knowing my struggles in brevity. First of all, my decision to go with Goranson Bain Ausley was made rather easy by how compassionate, honest and non-judgemental the screening process was. Oh my gosh, divorce is so brutal. I really do not think my settlement (or even the fact that there was one) would have ended up the way it did without the prowess of my attorney Hayley Collins Blair. During this entire exhausting case, Hayley was always there for me and patient in explaining things. She has a very high emotional intelligence and a strong pragmatic methodology that make her an absolute delight to work with but also someone who can be trusted to handle your case with well thought out decisions backed by a clear, highly experience based approach. She was always so compassionate with me but was never irresponsible with telling me what I wanted to hear just to make me feel better. She is a master of delivery which reduced my anxiety in this case while still keeping me informed of things that were not great or comfortable. This was crucial in a difficult case like mine. I should also mention that the paralegal I worked with, Laura Lee Hauser, was an absolute delight and has a heart bigger than Dallas. I will always remember with a smile how great our conversations were and how patient she was in explaing things to me in a way I could understand. I feel like this deserves its own paragraph. One of the many good signs of a professional team are how respectful they are about your spouse. Believe me, it's very easy to start making assumptions about what your spouse is doing or what their intentions are which can often start fueling unfounded animosity. Hayley and Laura Lee were great in compassionately but firmly correcting me on my assumptions. I think having someone course correct your attitude in this stressful process is a crucial path to an amical divorce. This is yet another area where you are getting real humans here that care about everyone involved and understand how assumptions can really hurt everyone. Hayley Collins Blair is in my opinion an incredible attorney and I believe my outcome would not have been even remotely possible without her expertise and realistic atittude. I can be a bit of a pushover and Hayley always did her best to save me from myself. I can't really go into it but I will forever be greatful for her unwillingness to let me cave in. This morning while the relief of this case finally coming a close is setting in, so is my grief that I will no longer have the same working relationship and in my mind I'm saying goodbye not just to a great attorney but to great friends. I feel like not only my best interests were being looked after but more importantly the best interest of my children. This includes a strong dilligence to maintain a long term approach that will make positive co-parenting possible. It's a shame Google won't let me write 3000 pages. I had to truncate a lot of things but in summary, you can't go wrong with Hayley Blair Collins and her amazing team. While I hope to never deal with a divorce again, if I do happen to require legal represenation in the future there is no question that I will choose Goranson Bain Ausley and work specifically with Hayley Blair Collins and her team again. I will probably come back and edit this for better clarity later. I'm so bad at condensing things.
