My experience at this establishment was a blend of positives and negatives, leading to an overall average outing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by polite and welcoming service at the entrance, which set a pleasant tone. However, the lack of seating—both inside and out—was disappointing, forcing me to settle for a spot at the crowded bar. When it came to the coffee, I ordered an espresso but found it to be quite underwhelming. It resembled a weak cup of American coffee, lacking the bold flavor I anticipated. The absence of sugar on the table was a small inconvenience, and I had to request some, needing a straw to stir it in afterward. On a positive note, the silverware was impressively clean and shiny, which I appreciated. For my meal, I opted for the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. Visually, it was appealing, and the flavor was simple yet satisfying. The bread could have been of better quality, and the avocado, while good, could have been riper for a more vibrant taste. The scrambled eggs were cooked well, albeit looking more like an omelet than the typical scrambled style I expected. Overall, I would rate this dish a solid 4 out of 5—it’s worth recommending. I also ordered a side of plain pancakes, which were rather unremarkable and simply served. They earned a 3 out of 5 for their taste. To finish off, I ordered a warm matcha latte with a hint of vanilla for the road. Its appearance was normal, but the flavor was vivid and delightful, adding a nice touch to my meal. I had only one polite table check during my time there, and the pricing was reasonable, which is always a plus. One noteworthy point is that the establishment is not very accommodating for those with disabilities, as indicated by a posted sign. This is an important consideration for future guests. In summary, while there were some enjoyable aspects, such as the warm service, the avocado toast, and the vibrant matcha latte, the overall experience fell short in terms of beverage quality and seating arrangements. If you’re looking for a quick bite and can overlook a few hiccups, it might be worth a visit, but it’s not without its drawbacks.
I had an amazing experience at Crave! The chilaquiles verdes were delicious and full of flavor. I also want to give a special shoutout to Josh for his outstanding service — he was friendly, attentive, and made my visit even better. Definitely coming back! 🌟
Sofia was an excellent server, she really made our first time there at the Grove one to remember. We will definitely be back for more of the deliciously flavored food. Thank you also to the Manager and Cooks who went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful!
We stopped in right after opening on a Saturday and were the only ones there. Restaurant was very clean, service was excellent, and food was amazing! Portion sizes were huge for the price and both the chilaquiles and chicken and waffles were great. We’ll be back for sure!
Great spot for breakfast /lunch, with a fully shaded dog-friendly patio, and refreshing drinks. We got the Grove burger, chilaquiles with a side of asparagus (Luis says the asparagus was fire 🔥 “is that what the kids say nowadays?”, yes Luis, they also say “slap”), croissant sandwich, and the kids breakfast platter, substituting pancakes for waffles. The drinks were also “slapping us”, as they say (or not), the orange juice was not too sweet, the coffee just black enough like my soul, but the best drink on the table had to be the Blueberry Mint Lavender Refresher, which came with all the things in the name suspended in sparkling water and topped with a dehydrated lime. Sooo cold and sweet 🤤 Waffles (our dog) only got water because he already ate breakfast at home. The service was great, our server Lily gave us good recommendations, like adding pork belly to your chilaquiles for maximum punch 💥 only downside is the wait times, it’s such a good spot be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes on Saturdays or Sundays. A little wait but for us it’s worth it for the cool patio.
