Absolutely the best cookies around! A perfect treat my whole family can't get enough. The pricing fair and portions very large. Perfect spot for breakfast and lunch, cozy home cooking that everyone will love. So happy we found this gem! The staff is the best and sooo welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed, its cozy comfort food that will be bringing us back time and time again.

Great food and Service! We just had our daughter’s wedding catered by Gunther’s Restaurant and Catering in San Jose, CA. Even before we did a tasting of Gunther’s food, we knew this was the catering company we had to use because of Gunther’s wonderful owner, Steve Meyberg! Steve immediately put this anxious mother of the bride at ease. He helped us make choices that were both tasteful (& tasty:) and affordable for our budget. It was clear he would take care of everything to insure a successful event. And he did! The food was great, exactly as we ordered with any special needs arranged. The service was impeccable! He has a great staff from the manager, to bartenders, waiters and even the security guard. They were all professional but also accommodating and just nice. You can tell when people really care about making others content and happy and are comfortable with their leadership. Steve, thank you so much for helping to make our daughter’s wedding so special! You are wonderful and we wholeheartedly recommend that others take advantage of your catering services for their special events-or just stop by the restaurant for deli food and your amazing chocolate chip cookies!

I'm sure you can get a great breakfast or lunch at Gunther's but even if you are just driving by, consider stopping to pick up one of their chocolate chip cookies. If you like chocolate chip cookie dough, I think you will like these too. They are barely baked and still hold that scoop shape. Try it!

WOW 🤯 Just amazing food and atmosphere. Workers are very polite and helpful … and the food, there aren’t words. You HAVE to come try it!! I could eat here all three meals of the day and never get tired of it!! Star of the South Bay!!

One of the best Reuben’s that I had. Honestly for the price, this is better than Langer’s in LA. I haven’t had the chance to try Katz in NY but man the bread to the corned beef, pastrami, and sauerkraut was amazing. Paid $21 for it and it was well worth it.
