Haight Street Art Center is a nonprofit organization with rotating art exhibitions that are free to the public. From poster artist greats like Emek and Zoltron, international artists like Miles Tsang (Canada) and Kaja Renkas (Poland) to legendary artists like Ralph Steadman (just to name a few of the great artists that have exhibited here), this art center has something for everyone. Renee and Irish Greg's Pop Up have hosted public music events at HSAC which have brought Bob Weir (Grateful Dead), John Oates (Hall & Oates), Chris Robinson (Black Crowes), Lester Chambers (Chambers Brothers), Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Jello Biafra, The Wood Brothers, just to name a few. Blue Bear Music has music lessons for children that are taught once a week. There is a working print studio on the 2nd floor and they have art classes open to the public. Stanley Mouse and Chris Peterson have taught drawing classes at HSAC. It's a great venue, not to miss!
