First time visiting for their Halloween party, had a great time!! A very unique experience, lots to see, great music, wonderful staff! Super kind, friendly, and helpful!! Great service and drinks, too. Very cool to see props from the Silent Hill movies on display, as a fan of the franchise! I'm from out of town but will definitely be returning! Would like to try their café during the day. :)

First visit tonight for a "movie on the train" screening of A Christmas Story. Love this place. So much cool stuff to look at and explore. Will be going much more often in the 2026.

The cavernous, spectacular HAMiLTON PROP HOUSE is a members-only bar, cafe, lounge, co-working space, performance venue, and actual prop house--serving many locally produced, globally recognized productions. Membership, however, is both free and quickly granted upon entry--and this formality adds to its safety, comfort, and relaxed maximalism. I've been here twice, once to enjoy a jazz band, another time to get some work done--writing, video editing, etcetera--with the help of the establishment's extra-strong wifi signal. Each time the staff was warm, attentive, and eager to show me around. The bar features lots of old-school European liquors I haven't seen anywhere else, plus a selection of non-alcoholic elixirs that for me at least seem to produce a mild buzz nonetheless. Also notable: the crisp, utterly greaseless French fries and the frothy, rich, strong, and stimulating cortados. The place is so engaging, and there are so many books to browse, that to stay focused I had to plant myself in the fully decked-out train car that sits in the center of the former movie palace. In a city dominated by expensive co-working suites and noisy, crowded cafes hosting all sorts of riff-raff I'm thrilled to have discovered this marvel of chic, nightclubby serenity and its echoes of Hollywood glamour. My new favourite place. Highly recommended.

I was absolutely enchanted to discover the Hamilton Prop House and attend the Tiki Party presented in collaboration with Hamilton Vintage. It is everything one could want in a social club (live music, amazing atmosphere, perfect cocktails/mocktails) and more! Everything I ordered was thoughtfully crafted by friendly and attentive staff. The space is filled with a breathtaking collection of film props, books, and antiques. My maximalist heart soared in such a lively, warm and inviting space that encourages exploration and participation. Every corner has a story (and the potential to become a mini film set). Truly a special place. I will return, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique, inspiring experience.

Hey Hamilton…have you been to The Prop House? You should…it is an amazing place! Part cafe/bar, part museum, part event space. Simon, the owner, is a super personable and will give you a free tour of the various sets from different TV series It’s full of weird and wonderful props including a train car which you can sit in and have a craft beer, interesting cocktail, or a coffee. Nice quiet place for friends to meet for a game and a catch up. PLUS, there is a tiny little furry cat which gets hidden daily for people to find. Locate it (and it is HARD to find, let me tell you!) and you must hide it in a new place…fun! Go…you will not be disappointed!
