Excellent gym with outstanding trainers and a welcoming environment. As someone new to boxing-style training, I found it both physically demanding and mentally engaging, even with a strong fitness background. Jake and the team create a supportive atmosphere while still pushing you to perform at your best. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love going to HandzUp, it’s welcoming, offers a great workout, and the coaching team brings the energy and offers amazing support. It really feels like a community there. Whether you new to the gym or a seasoned pro, it’s perfect for you with there coached hours. I was someone who felt quite intimidated by the gym environment but from day 1 I felt so unbelievably welcome and accepted. Literally couldn’t recommend enough.

It’s not often you can hand out 5 stars but HANDZUP deserves 5 STAR reviews. I’ve attended this gym for a few years now and every time I enter the doors or even near the gym, a friendly HELLO and check in is offered by the coaches. They have supported me through little and big frustrations, hitting PBs, learning good techniques, working out with shift workers and generally just making me smile and laugh on a daily basic. They welcome EVERYONE and it shows in the wholesome, friendly and just fantastic vibe the gym had all the time! So here’s the review they deserve!

Loving my training sessions with the Handz Up team! The energy & inclusivity are amazing within the community they’ve built.. the trainers always bring the hype & keep you accountable. I love that they work with every individual to ensure you’re progressing towards your goals & ensuring that your technique is bang on. The ability to train outside of staffed hours, with or without coaching, I have found to be an amazing benefit and point of difference for people who don’t want to stick to strict class time slots. You can run your own schedule! Personally I am currently nursing a bad shoulder but the trainers are so accomodating of my injury & mindful of my limitations so that I am still progressing safely. The format of the workouts are super fun & never boring.. for someone who hates cardio, the boxing element is so enjoyable & the session seems to fly every time! Couldn’t recommend Jake & the entire crew of amazing trainers at Handz Up enough if you’re after well rounded training sessions in a supportive environment, that will make sure you’re accountable & hit your goals - All while having fun!

I remember when I first walked into the gym, I felt the struggle like most of girls - I wanted to lose weight quickly. I struggled on and off with motivation, and I beat myself down. After a while especially I started weight training, I no longer training to punish myself for the food I eat, I changed the mindset to “go to the gym because I need to look after myself and my body has so much capability to function”. The coaches’ guide for training and words for encouragement played important part of this journey. For someone who’s new to the gym, and feeling awkward training alone, not sure about the forms etc. this is perfect for them, because the PTs are professional, the community is so friendly, I love walking into the gym and receiving lovely comments from others. I highly recommend this gym, the best one in town!

After two years here, my only regret is not starting sooner. I’ve tried plenty of gyms - I either had to invent a workout or squeeze into someone else’s class schedule. HandzUp solves both those problems - pick a time that suits you and knockout a 45 minutes circuit of cardio, conditioning, bag work, and weights that’s mapped out by the coaches. The 1-on-1 coaching is also top-notch. The coaches are right there fixing your stance, changing your workout, and making sure every punch lands clean. The gym has all the essentials - heavy bags, kettlebells, free weights, medicine balls, racks. It's the right amount to train everything and not overwhelm you like other places. It's a great gym if you want solid workout on your own clock.
