I arranged for my 1 year old teenage puppy to stay 5 days in shared boarding with group playtime. She’s a social dog who loves people and other dogs. I got back from holiday to find out she was housed in her own kennel and no playtime was allowed. They said she had too much energy and it was a lot so they isolated her. They confirmed she wasn’t aggressive or anxious, it was energy. It makes me feel very sad that while I was on holiday my dog was in a solitary kennel with little interaction. The staff seem young and inexperienced. The last thing you should do with an energetic dog is isolate them more. Her next stay was at Tara Pet Estate and she had a ball with lots of playtime. The staff are more experienced, the facilities are better and it’s not more expensive.

My review is purely for the assistance provided by the staff at Hanrob. I haven’t had the luxury of taking my fur baby to Hanrob, but she was booked in and the morning of her scheduled boarding I had to cancel this due to unforeseen circumstances. The process of cancellation was simple, and the staff were super helpful. I was expecting for it to be difficult due to being the busy Easter period but they were so understanding. I’m looking forward to being able to bring my fur baby here in the future.

Our two senior small dogs always stay with Hanrob Canberra when we are away from home. The lovely staff take very good care of them both. Our dogs always look forward to their stays.

We have used Hanrob Canberra for our German Shepherds for several years. They have always taken great care of our big fur babies and as they are ‘farm dogs’ we have taken advantage of the extra play and walk times offered. At the last visit, it was only Scotch as our old dog had passed. We were concerned that Scotch wouldn’t settle as he had always had his old friend boarding with him. But Hanrob staff were sensitive to his needs and he was relaxed and happy when we picked him up.

Absolutely amazing!! I had my 11 month old male German shepherd who was extremely shy and nervous. I was very impressed from the first phone call where they asked a lot of questions about Atlas and what he was and wasn't scared of and his experiences. They recommended a 3 seek stay and board. During his stay they gave updates about how he was progressing and their training progress. Our main goal was helping him in new situations. He has just got home and the proof is in the results, their staff know their stuff! They took amazing care of my boy and have made so much progress. Not only in confidence but crate training and other commands. I am going to follow up with obedience classes with the team (mostly so I am doing the right things). Will use again and highly recommend. One very happy puppy and owner ❤️
