Walked in with a party of six without a reservation and were seated quickly, which set a great tone. The staff was genuinely welcoming, and Tony and crew were on top of everything—attentive without hovering and consistently checking in on us. The fish was exceptionally fresh, making this one of the top sushi experiences I’ve had in Phoenix. Prices are on the steep side, but the quality of the fish justifies it. The only downsides were the noise level and a longer-than-expected wait after placing our order, though the food was absolutely worth it in the end. Overall, a strong 4.5/5 and a spot I’d happily return to.
The best service I have received in a restaurant in a long time. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We had 3 people working our table and met and anticipated our needs. They were on top of it. The food was delicious. The bathroom was clean and smells so nice. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want a higher class experience. We also had 2 small children with us and they were very nice and accommodating for their needs.
Amazing atmosphere - dim, upscale, intimate. Great for a date night. Taste and flavors were good but nothing special tbh. Their unique purple rice sounds better than it tastes. Should stick to original sushi rice IMO. OMG Roll has unique table presentation.
My family were visiting from out of town and we stopped by. I can honestly say it's the best sushi experience I've ever had in my life. Immediately, you're greeted with a lovely atmosphere of cozy low lighting and fantastic decor that really helps you get into a luxurious mood. After we were seated and ordered, constantly throughout the meal there was never more than a few minutes without a server walking by, even though we were seated outside. Anytime anyone at the table needed something, it was almost as if the staff could read our minds and preemptively send someone our way. And now for the food, it was absolutely stellar! I'm quite the fan of sushi to begin with and have plenty of places back in California, but the food here truly raised the bar. We had a bit of everything, from salmon skin rolls to assorted sashimi and nigiri ranging from A5 wagyu to uni to toro. Absolutely nothing was less than fantastic, even for someone like me who prefers the more typical fish. Every piece of fish truly melted in the mouth. I want to bring special attention to the tuna here; never before have I seen tuna with this striking red color, like a ruby plucked from sunken treasure. It speaks volumes about how fresh the fish must've been to be this color, and that emphasis on freshness likely extends to every item on the menu. I can't recommend this place enough! Bring all your loved ones if you're ever in the mood for sushi. Bonus points for learning that it's closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to give all the employees time with their family for the holidays.
I liked the location of this restaurant in proximity to the arena. It was convenient for that. The restaurant is nice overall. We sat outside at night time and it was a bit chilly. The warming stations helped. We ordered 5 different rolls. Unfortunately the rolls were all fairly mediocre. None of them stood out to me. But my entire party seemed to enjoy it. I don't know if I would highly recommend the restaurant, but it was serviceable. The servers were prompt and attentive. So conder this if you need a bite before a show, but don't think I would go out of my way to come here without a reason to be downtown.
