The gentleman with HBC roofing is a nice guy, was honest about his pricing, and knows what he is doing about roofing. That being said, work was done at my house and the rolled roofing repair only lasted 2.5 months. No worries, I called and asked if he could repair the roof and he said he would be there. He never showed up. Kept saying he was going to come by, after 2 weeks of asking him to come I gave up and decided to hire someone else. The new roofer informed me the he did not go high enough on the rolled roofing and was also supposed to lay the rolled shingles in between the other shingles vs laying it on top. He said it was sloppy and incomplete work. I asked for their insurance info so I could file a claim since he didnt wanna come and fix the repair. He never responded back. I doubt that he is insured. Biggest take away for this company is communication, it is lacking. Nice guy, terrible communication. I highly recommend going with another company. They do not honor their warranty.

I hired HBC Roofing, managed by Mr. Leo Cerda, for a full roof replacement. The quote provided was good, and the team came out on September 4, 2025, to begin the work. By September 6, the job was completed, including tear-off, underlayment, shingles, and cleanup. Mr. Cerda followed up with photos of the finished roof, which looked excellent. From a workmanship and scheduling standpoint, the roof itself was done efficiently and turned out very well. However, during installation, a roofing nail punctured the main PEX water line. This led to a water leak into a bedroom closet that was only discovered hours later on September 6. A plumber confirmed on September 7 that the leak was caused by a nail through the pipe, which resulted in water damage, missing insulation, and a cut-out in the ceiling after the PEX pipe repair. I notified Mr. Cerda on September 8. He initially stated he wanted to help resolve the issue, possibly by having himself and his employees come and repair the ceiling in return for an online review. Unfortunately, after that first conversation, communication broke down. Despite multiple follow-ups via text message on September 12, 14, 22, 26, I received no response until my final message on September 29th when I notified him I was going to submit the review, at which point I was told he had been unable to find anyone to repair the ceiling and that I was welcome to submit a review. As of October 3rd I have contracted out a company to fix my ceiling and install new insulation. No apology or alternative resolution has been offered. Positives: Competitive pricing, timely completion, and a high-quality roof installation. Negatives: Damage occurred during the project, and the follow-up response was poor. Lack of accountability and communication left me with unresolved damages, repairs and additional costs. While the finished roof itself is solid, potential customers should be aware of my experience regarding responsibility for incidental damage and post-project communication.

Mr. Cerda is very experienced, and the work he does is fantastic! He was super helpful and answered any questions I had about certain materials and expenses. I definitely recommend this company as they work very efficiently (they finished my roof in a day and a half!)

Very prompt, professional, and affordable. I needed a repair done called got estimate and repair done the same day. Thank you for working diligently to correct our roof issue. Highly recommended

Very professional Mr. Cerda and his staff offered excellent services. The quality grade shutters are a big deal breaker and they offer the best quality and warranty for what we needed and wanted. Best roof repair professionals in south texas!!
