Heartland Nursery and Garden Center Lee's Summit is a convenient and well organized destination for gardeners looking for quality and unique plant options. Located right at 470 higway & View High Drive, it is easy to access with great parking, excellent availability of carts, and a smooth checkout process. The variety here is impressive, especially when it comes to hard to find plants and unique filler options that are not always available at other garden centers. The plants are consistently healthy and well cared for, which makes them ideal for gift giving or easy, successful plantings at home. The nursery is consistently well stocked and clearly laid out, making it easy to browse even during busy times. Staff members are plentiful, knowledgeable, and helpful, which adds to the overall positive experience. Prices do tend to run higher, often 25 to 40 percent more than other garden centers, and while the reward program is a nice perk, it does not always fully offset the higher cost. That said, the quality of the plants and the availability of unique selections often make it worth the visit. Despite the crowds, shopping here is always enjoyable, and it remains a go to spot for dependable quality and distinctive plants.

This was my first but not last visit to this nursery. The nursery was well organized and kept. The plants appeared healthy and while not a large stock when I visited there was still a good variety of what was available. If I didn’t already have a version of the plants they had I would’ve purchased one. I found my staple plant care however and a product I hadn’t been able to find anywhere else locally. They have a great selection of pottery and a huge plus was everyone was friendly and willing to help. They will definitely see me again.

The first place I go every Spring to lift my spirits and reassure myself that warmer and brighter days are forthcoming. I find Heartland has the best selection around...and I try to visit them all. It's a great place to get a hanging basket and see what new specimen plants are going to be showcased. But most importantly I feel all selections are healthy and disease free. Very rarely do I lose anything and if I do it's usually due to my own neglect. Best herb selection of anyone!

We love this place! They have tons of plants and friendly knowledgeable employees. This is the best nursery I have been to in the country. It's a greenhouse about the size of a Walmart. Even in the dead of winter we love coming here because while it's only indoor plants in the winter they do have many indoor plants, and the best part is soaking up the sun and viewing live plants during a season you can't do that outside. Bring the family stretch your legs, smell the plants and combat that cabin fever!
