We started with Essential Martial Arts when my oldest was in the Kid's TaeKwonDo class and my youngest was in the Lil'Dragon's TaeKwonDo class. We have loved going here for more than a year now! My children have grown so much and progressed through the belts at a pace that helps them feel like they're making real progress each class. They have more self control, confidence and balance and have learned to use their voices first to stand up for themselves. I love that respect is expected and reinforced each class. The schedule has great options for all belt levels and we can always find a time that is convenient even when they have moved up to the next class. The whole experience is very well run and I highly recommend Master Hendrix and her team!
Our kids took Taekwondo at EMA from elementary school through high school. It was a fabulous experience. They provide a kind atmosphere where kids can learn respect and discipline while having a whole lot of fun! Master Ellen was always very encouraging and helpful. We have so much gratitude and absolutely zero regrets.
Great student/instructor ratio. I watched children train and have watched their confidence grow. Confidence that they can try and succeed at new things. Master Hendrix also stresses education. Kids are rewarded for good report cards.
This is a great place for kids, as well as adults, to train in the martial arts! My son has been coming here for over a year and he's learned a lot! There are plenty of classes on the schedule, so it's easy for us to get him to enough classes to keep moving higher in the belt ranks. The entire staff is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and helpful. About eight months ago I signed up too and have been loving the adult classes, especially Hapkido This place is awesome and I highly recommend it for all ages!
