Our son had been taking piano lessons with Miss Katy, who was wonderful. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after she left. The studio gave us very short notice about a substitute teacher, a different class time, and a different room. Because of the sudden change, we dropped off our son and returned later only to find he had been sitting there for over an hour with no lesson and no staff checking on him. When I called the studio, Jen first claimed we “did not show up,” even though other parents saw us arrive. Then she changed her story and said she had texted my wife the room information — a message that was never sent. When confronted, she became defensive and unprofessional, even calling us “difficult,” and said our son was dismissed from future classes. I went in person and spoke with Beth, who initially agreed to refund our March tuition and summer camp fees. A few days later, she reversed her position and refused any refund, again blaming us for the short notice. How ridiculous!
