Consistently great service for two generations! Could never manage the tax code changes without them. I’ve told all my family and friends don’t do your taxes without Mr. Heyward he will save you money!

FIND SOMEONE ELSE After speaking with someone at Heyward CPA, I will admit I really thought this would turn out better than it has. My wife and I told the representative CUSTOMER SERVICE was very important to us. However, this has turned into a horrible experience. After paying the deposit to get the tax return started, I began to realize I could never get anyone on the phone to respond to questions. Yes, we both also tried emailing, no response. I even used the online response system they brag about. Still no response. Finally, I decided I no longer wanted work with Heyward CPA. The person that called back for a discussion was blatantly rude and disrespectful which was not encouraging us to reconsider. I have called and requested my deposit back more than 5 times. Even the receptionist has said I see you have called multiple times. (WHENEVER SHE PUTS YOU ON HOLD NO ONE IS GOING TO RESPOND, TRUST ME). At this point I just want my deposit and receipt of proof.

I am STILL fighting with this incompetent bunch over my 2022 tax filing. I began paying them a monthly fee January 2022 for consistent tax advice, tax prep, and general advisement. I did not receive any paperwork or anything in my "welcome letter" email that I was apparently supposed to receive. It was January 31st before I even received any information from them. So, there is one month that I wasted payment on. Fast forward to April, Heyward CPA had to file an extension after prepping my taxes incorrectly, even after they were provided with all of my financial statements. Between June 3rd and July 20th, I was completely ignored on both my phone calls and emails. Another waste of money. In August, my taxes were once again prepared incorrectly. By September, they were correct and I signed off on them. They were never filed. I allegedly owe a balance, but I refuse to pay this company another dollar. I have received absolutely nothing from this company other than hassle and frustration. I have paid for 8 months of services totaling $2200, but received nothing. It seems the goal is to drag out your need for their services as long as possible so they can continuously bill you. Absolutely look elsewhere.

I used Heyward CPA for my small businesses taxes this past year and it has been a nightmare. I made the mistake of paying a monthly fee for their services (which I have recieved next to none of), which apparently means they will take as long as they desire to file your taxes. After providing them with all of my financial statements, they still had to file an extension. Not a huge deal, but after that occurred I did not hear from them until 3 months later, even after sending multiple emails asking for an update. 2 months later, they then sent me a summary of what they would be filing with the wrong profit numbers (and not even slightly wrong, about 50,000 off) not once but twice. Keep in mind, I had provided them with all of the financial statements up front. Now, it is almost the end of the year and I have not even received confirmation of the filing. As a business owner I have more important things to do than do the work of an accounting firm that I am paying. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I have given them many chances to simply file my taxes as requested and they don’t deliver time after time. I hope someone reads this before considering hiring these guys and it’s saves them the headache. I truly hope they learn and grow from this feedback as well.
