Highjinx is one of the best things about Ottawa. Cool stuff, awesome employees, and one of the most locally supporting small businesses I've ever seen.

The two lovely owners feed people. They clothe them, help them with whatever. This store is the community hub this neighbourhood so desperately needs. They support this work by selling all sorts of great stuff that all sorts of us donate. It's a beautiful mission and a really fun place to spend time. Lots of people volunteer. Lots of people shop there. Including me. I donate, I buy. I donate, I buy. What can I say? The work they do, their kindness, the quality of their goods, it's all irresistible. Whatever your needs, whether it be for physical help or for more joy in your life, highjinx is the place you want to go.

Creating an environment to encourage garbage collection at front of store that spills all round the sidewalk. Ruining atmosphere of the neighbourhood. Would not buy any trinket from this place its all garbage collected

A nostalgic house full of local people and their second hand items. The price is fair. The arrangement of the items is a mess, so you have to be patient to find the hidden gem!

Every time I go I find a perfect little treasure! Highly recommend you stop in if you enjoy antiques and vintage. Always great energy in there and love their message. Will always stop in when I am in town to support.
