I cannot express how awesome my experience has been with this organization. Read her website mission statement and if it doesn’t bring a tear of gratitude to your eye, you simply do not get it. She walks that talk! Make no mistake about that. Dr. Monaco came to my home with her Assistant, Lex, and there simply aren’t enough words to explain my awe with the thoroughness and professionalism. You cannot go wrong here. You will be very grateful.
The whole team deserves 5 stars. I have incredibly difficult chiweenies and they all went above and beyond to make the visit comfortable. The vet, Dr. Francher was extremely helpful in answering all questions and caring for my pets. Would highly recommend.
The Saturday before Thanksgiving was a bad day for me. My dog, Barrett, couldn’t walk anymore. I was able to quickly schedule a visit at Highlands to see what could be done to help him. I carried my best friend in there and weighed him. He had gone from 80lbs to 66lbs. That floored me. I knew he had lost weight but I couldn’t believe it was that much. Since he started having mobility issues, my wife and I fed him pot roast at every meal, mixed with fats, broth, potatoes and the occasional puppy gravy. This was bad, but I was hopeful. Dr. Jones came in and found tumors all over his body, his hip was out of place and well…he was dying and suffering. I was so naive, and reality hit like a ton of bricks. It was time and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. The staff made him a spray cheese and treat charcuterie board, they gave me time to say farewell. We watched Benji, because he’s always loved watching TV and was a huge fan of any animal on a screen. As a puppy, he’d run around the house trying to find any animal he saw on TV. It was a wonderful way to say goodbye with him snuggled on my lap. My wife brought in his favorite soft blanket, my son was able to stop by….everyone that loved him was able to say farewell. The staff never pressured us. They were full of grace, kindness, and compassion. They showed up I a big way on one of our worst days. They gave us what we needed and more. If you’re looking for a vet that gives a shit, and more then look no further. From the top down these folks are superb, they’re excellent and extraordinary. Their mission is to serve and we felt that in that sad day. As long as they are around, I will continue to bring my animals there. I’m not just a satisfied customer, I’m a raving fan and I hope that you might join me if you’ve read this far. Thank you Highlands, you guys are in no small way the best. (Pictured is my buddy and I snoozing the night before his last day).
This place is very nice, clean and organized. As long as you want to pay DOUBLE THE PRICE, of any Vet in the United States, this is the place for you! We tried to explain to them that they are charging double the rate. Highlander Animal Hospital $50 x2=$100.00. They also charge do a checkup the second booster visit. No other city charges for this. New York, NY $46.11 Los Angeles, CA $46.67 Chicago, IL $43.92 Houston, TX. $41.82 When asked Natalie about this, she tried to state Nevada Law requires her to over charge.
When adopting new cats, I wanted a vet that was not only financial friendly, but rated highly by other customers with their animals in need of care. I stumbled across Highlands Animal Care, and I understand why they have spectacular reviews across the board. The team at Highlands is very responsive, great communication, and you can tell that everyone loves and has a genuine passion for your babies. I have asked these ladies countless questions, and they answer each one with a smile on their face and very informative responses. They’ve been active in my cats’ life with every call I’ve made with different concerns. They also see exotic animals as well, which is wonderful as I’m also a reptile keeper who loves reptiles just as much as anyone else! Their office, rooms, and bathrooms are always very clean and decorated with very humorous posters, which is a nice pick me up if you happen to receive bad news. They’re honest, and not here to do a cash grab-they want what’s best for your baby and you. My cat got diagnosed with asthma, which involved them filling him in on a week where they were rather booked up, but they brought him in to ensure that he was okay. With an asthmatic cat and a lady cat who’s about to be a senior, I couldn’t be any happier to call Highlands Animal Care my trusted veterinarian and am always excited to bring my animals in and see the wonderful staff! Dr. Francher and Dr. Amster are the best. Thank you guys for everything you do with unbeatable care and costs, especially nowadays!
