Orange is history. You feel it. You see it. You know it when you step inside the museum. Shout out to the city for having a free museum along with free parking unlike other counties * ahemm LA ahemm*.

What a hidden gem right beside Old Town Orange! The Art Museum spans 2 wings and has a huge variety of revolving exhibits. Apparently the displayed pieces rotate every season, so you'll be bound to find something new when you return. As of Dec. 20th we enjoyed the various showcases of the Hilbert Permanent Collection, Edo Prints, Pueblo Pottery, Classic Disney, Sesame Street, Massey Pop Art, & 50 Piece Retrospective of Vasquez 👏 Best sure to view the large mural directly facing the tracks as well! Can't wait to be back 😊

A fellow classmate from Laguna College of Art and Design suggested this museum and it was excellent! Free reservation on the website, free parking walking distance to the museum. Excellent helpful staff and excellent exhibitions. 10/10 for artists, art lovers, and travelers who want to see California artists and California Art History. Don’t forget to stop by the cafe for coffee and a croissant!

Came in on a Friday morning. I had no reservation but the front end clerk helped me sign in. She gave me a brief overview of the gallery before I went in. There was really amazing modern water color paintins Many of which were photo realistic. There were a few abstracts as well. After I completed the first side the second side was full of modern pastels, Japanese 1850 ads and drawings and about two rooms dedicated to Disney. It is currently free. I saw a few couples and a few solo enjoyers. I went by myself and took about 30 minutes on each side. It is currently free of charge as of now

A charming little gem in Orange County! The Hilbert Museum is such a peaceful and inspiring spot to explore. 🎨 It features beautiful California art that really captures the spirit and history of the region. It’s not too big, which makes it perfect for a quick yet meaningful visit. The space is clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully curated. Bonus: free admission with easy online reservations! 🙌 Perfect for a chill afternoon stroll, date idea, or solo escape. I’ll definitely come back when they rotate the exhibits!
