Overall, the ice rink was nice and the atmosphere was great, especially for a winter outing with family. However, a few things were surprising. First, there’s no clear notice that they don’t accept cash you only find out at the counter. Second, the ticket price is listed as $22, but when paying by card you end up paying about 19.5% more in additional fees. If you come with a child and need one of the penguins to help them skate, it’s another surprise. It’s advertised as $5, but with card fees the total comes out to $7.17, which is about 43% extra. Good experience overall, but these unexpected fees definitely take away from it.
We stumbled upon this ice-skating rink while exploring downtown LA, and it turned out to be a phenomenal experience! Everything was well organized, tickets were easy to purchase via QR code, and the skates were excellent quality. There was plenty of seating and great viewing spots for photos and videos, all set among stunning skyscrapers and the historic Biltmore Hotel. They also have a snack shop with a wide variety of options—the hot chocolate was especially delicious!
My friend got a special discount and have always wanted to try this location during the holidays. We went on a sunny afternoon to avoid the crowds and boy did we avoid the crowds. Lol most likely would’ve been much more fun at night with all the spectacular lights and possibly could’ve even run into Santa Claus. I had an ice skate skated in many many many years and was surprised how difficult it was.Got around the rink a few times without falling down so that was a plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the ice skates don’t stink and are really comfortable. I recommend doing this at least once!
This was my first time ice skating, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I had so much fun. They have a DJ that play music when you’re skating. Getting a pair of skates is included with your ticket and the girl who handed us our skates was nice. I did get a locker to put our shoes in and my bag, which I do recommend. But overall great experience for my first time.
Fun and entertaining for everyone! They have parking available for $9 a day in the weekends and $20 during the week. The best time to take the kids is during the day. They have great staff that help the kids get up if they fall that is if they need help. Great place for a date during the evening is mostly older people. They play great music. I would recommend to buy tickets on line to avoid the long line and also the sold out hours. It was a great experience over all.
