I've been to 7 day retreats over the last 9 months at Holy Wisdom. It is a lovely facility. And the grounds are lovingly well kept. The food is always hearty and delicious. And the chef accommodates whatever dietary needs our group has so seamlessly that I hardly knew they were accommodating.

Beautiful grounds. Comfy furniture, spacious rooms. There are also a lot of areas outside to sit and meditate and gaze at the beautiful scenery, but the most wonderful thing is the food. The chef is phenomenal at preparing and presenting the meals. The food is delicious.

I came here for a break from work and school. By the end of the retreat, I felt at peace with life. Volunteering on the prairie was great. Hiking everyday was amazing. The staff was awesome. Not one bad experience!

We really enjoyed having our wedding ceremony at Holy Wisdom Monastery! Leading up to the wedding, Brooke was very helpful with answering any questions we had and was great at setting up times where we could come see the monastery and envision the decorations for the ceremony. Brooke was wonderful with helping/leading during the rehearsal and made sure everything went smoothly the day of. We’d highly recommend Holy Wisdom as a ceremony site! This is also where we had our pictures taken in the outdoor photos. It was beautiful even at the end of November.

I came to the monastery for a personal retreat to unplug, reset and restore. I was looking for a few days of slow, relaxed meditative activities. I sure found them! Hours spent strolling the paths through gorgeous native prairie, oak savanna and woodlands. cozy, clean, simple room for rejuvenating sleep. tasty meals and extremely kind, accommodating staff. The whole experience felt very caring. Can't wait to return to see the autumn landscape!
