Today I got served by a wonder young girl. I come into store not in the best attitude and walked out with a smile on my face. She was lovely. I asked for her name as she was a lovely girl and gave me such good service. She stated her name was Kiera. She brings a beautiful smile to this store. Definitely will be back. Thank you home value

EDIT: As reported below, yes, my friend was upset at the treatment of myself trying to honestly return an item that was broken by the staff. He did use an expletive, to say either of us was violent is an outright lie. Why would staff follow out into the car park if we were violent? I welcome the footage to be presented to SAPOL. I was traumatised by the actions of the staff following me out of the store yelling at me. This is defamation of character, the owners response is grossly incorrect. Having bought a lot from Elizabeth store, I was sad to see it was closing. my last visit there, we once purchased several items & they were carefully wrapped & boxed. I expressed my sadness at the closing of the store & was told me they had a shop in Port Adelaide. I had a sister visiting from interstate & she like a statue I had in my home, a purchase from the Elizabeth store. We decided to go across to the Pt Adelaide store to check it out. Whilst in this store, we both were surprised by the lack of friendliness of the 2 girls manning the store at that time. We both purchased items, I bought two statues to give to my sister as a present for her upcoming birthday. The girl that “wrapped” the two statues did not take any care & wrapped them together in a used piece of bubble wrap, I then purchased a bag for them to be placed in. When I watched her wrap them, I was thinking she was being pretty slap dash with them. When I got out to my car, I placed the bag into insulated bag in the car & made sure it was secure. I have purchased many items like these before & have never had a breakage yet. When I got home I decided to repackage the statues for my sister as she was flying home the next day. I unpacked the 2 statues & found 1 was broken. I repacked the unbroken 1 carefully & set aside the broken one to return it to the store. When I took the broken 1 back to the store, the same 2 girls were there. They said they had to call the manager to ask if they could exchange. When the girl came back to us, she said that because I had not brought it back in the dusty dirty piece of used bubble wrap they had used, I could not exchange it! Of course we were upset at this total lack of customer service & expressed that to her. As we walked out of the store, she was yelling at us that we were banned from entering ever again! We drove away & realised she had not given back the receipt from this purchase, so we drove back & I jumped out, went in & asked for the receipt please. I was just getting back to the car when I heard her yelling “ excuse me” across the car park. She came up to me & said the owner would be in the next day. I said I would go in & talk to her then. Then the girl began raving on about me being rude. There were people looking over & it was very embarrassing. My friend in the car could see I was distressed so he got out to see what was happening & then the girl started to either film or take photos of us with her phone! We got in the car & left, I was very shaken by the whole ordeal & had a panic attack on the way home. To be treated like a criminal, as if we had stolen something was very very upsetting. The next day, I called the store as I could not bring myself to enter the store again & possibly have to face the girl from the day before, to speak to the owner. She listened to my whole story, thanked me for my patronage & loyalty, but then still said that the item was broken by me. I told her once again how they were packaged in one piece of bubble wrap & not with any care, she said she would have to investigate because the girl had not told her that. I ended up hanging up as it was obvious I was not going to get anywhere. The other statue made it all the way interstate in a suitcase on a plane without breaking. For this store owner to quibble over a $27 statue with a repeat customer shows how little they value their customers. There are many other stores that sell the same stuff as these guys, my advice is to take your money to them instead.

I am a regular customer and have spent hundreds of dollars between the two stores. I will never step foot in these stores again. Very poor service and the staff at Port Adelaide very rude and disrespectful. I will advise all my friends and family to also never go there again. No wonder the Elizabeth store closed down. Also, the owner was not interested in our complaint in regards to our issue. The treatment from the owner and her staff was very disrespectful, rude and disappointing.

If you need some inspiration or need Knick knacks for the home, this is the place to look. It is a huge store and stocks just anything and everything. Some items are great bargain prices and some items are not worth the price for cheap looking decor. If you are looking for arts & craft there is ample, if you need sort days colour items or dress up accessories for a party you will find it here!

A lot of interesting things in there, but there are lots of things that the quality isn't great & is a bit too expensive and you can get it cheaper elsewhere. But its worth having a browse.
