12/3025 I was in the Reno area and had to stop by to pick up some “goodies” for friends from Hawaii who hadn’t tried Honey Bakery yet—a little Christmas treat. I picked up steamed BBQ pork buns and pork/shrimp shu mai, and of course made sure to grab some for my own ʻohana (family) as well. 11/2025 YUM YUM and YUM! I’m so happy my friend told me about this bakery — good ones are hard to find, especially those with authentic Chinese delicacies! We usually get the steamed barbecue pork buns and the steamed Chinese sausage buns. Both are so soft, flavorful, and freshly made. We’ve also tried their minced pork dumplings, shu mai, and a variety of baked buns and desserts — all delicious! A little tip: go early! We often stop by in the late afternoon, and some of the buns are already sold out. We haven’t tried their cakes yet, but they offer both rolled cakes and round cakes that look amazing. Definitely worth a visit! Dennis is always fast and efficient — it’s usually quiet when we go, but I imagine it gets busy when they first open since everything is made fresh daily.

This is a small Chinese dim sum place, mainly for takeout. The food is tasty and freshly made, and the wait time is not long at all. Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. Just a couple of things to note: there is a 3% extra charge for credit card payments, and sauces are not included unless you ask, so make sure to request them when ordering. 🍽️🥟

Ok, never mind the store interior decor and vibe. Just go here for the dim sum. We went there for some takeout while passing through Reno and was just expecting average dim sum. But wow, their food is absolutely delicious! The bbq pork buns aren't large but the filling is so tasty and the bun has the proper consistency that you'll find in the best dim sum places in San Francisco. The har gao is filled with plenty of tasty shrimp pieces, not ground up shrimp like some cheap places. The sticky rice in lotus leaves was also particularly tasty. They put in half an egg yolk and plenty of Chinese sausage. Everything was delicious! It was worth the wait and I think everything is steamed upon ordering.

This is an amazing Chinese bakery. Their buns are super soft and flavourful! The boba is perfect here, not too sweet like the others, but perfectly cooked and seeetened. The owners are super nice and welcome you with a smile. Its everything I've wanted in a bakery

Best Sui Mai and Shrimp dumplings! I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of the food. The service was impeccable, and they were more than accommodating to our specific order preferences. I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely be returning in the future.
