It worked! I was not confident in this DIY repair I did today. Hah - I'm actually not even sure what the name of the part I just replaced is. It was inside of the rough-in valve for a shower. Anyway - I took a few pictures and visited Howe. Explained what was going on. He told me what part I needed. I told him the part looked too big and didn't seem right. He was like no - it's the right part. Then he told me how to remove the old one, and what I needed to do to make sure it was put back together correctly. And when I was nodding slowly but looking confused he repeated what he said in a different way. It worked! No more drips. This place is a great resource. Just remember - they close at noon and only take cash or check.

Regan was extremely helpful with our toilet and shower head purchase and DIY install. We really appreciated the time he took to understand our needs so that he could make the best recommendation. Something that stood out to us was his initial suggestion of how we might be able to repair, rather than replace our toilet to save money and waste. While we ultimately needed to do a replacement, not being immediately pushed towards buying something new was refreshing. I highly recommend his shop for all your plumbing needs.
