I never leave negative reviews on Google; I prefer to give positive feedback. Therefore, I STRONGLY urge anyone considering filing their taxes at H&E Block to AVOID this branch at all costs! We dropped off our paperwork on March 3rd. We have two extremely simple financial situations, absolutely nothing complicated. After three weeks, I called the branch to find out the status of our tax return. When they called me back, I was condescendingly informed that they hadn't even started our return yet and that it would take a MINIMUM of three to four weeks... I found that shocking, especially given the tone, but oh well. So, I called again after five weeks, still without any news, and the woman told me they were overwhelmed, short-staffed, and that her workload was enormous. I was told to reply that I was sorry about her situation, but that the government wouldn't show me any mercy if I missed the deadline. If they knew they were short-staffed, they should have had some self-respect and not taken on so many cases. Especially since I went there on March 3rd?! In short, they couldn't guarantee I'd be ready by April 30th! I considered going to get my paperwork and go somewhere else, but since there were only three weeks left, I decided to take a chance and stay with them. Today is May 8th, more than two months later, more than a week past the deadline. No calls, no follow-up, no news. I call and no one answers... The service and professionalism are beyond deplorable, practically nonexistent!
