Had a very delicious avocado burger with sweet potato fries. Customer service is great. Definitely recommended 💯 I’m looking forward to trying out the other items the next time I'm in the area because I will definitely be back for more Hunky’s 😋
This was a great place to visit. The food and the service was exceptional. The wait staff and the cashier were very friendly.
First time at Hanky's and I'm glad I had lunch before catching my flight home. I had a delicious San Francisco chicken sandwich with fries and a beer; less than $20. Great value for a fantastic meal.
This was a great find as this food is right up my alley and very difficult to find around the Dallas area. My order was a hotdog, grilled cheese, fries, chocolate shake, 2 pieces of cake and a tall glass of milk. Everything is of the highest quality, great value for the money and leaves you wanting for more. The cakes are epic, and such a great visual when walking in. The reason for the only 4-stars is because the staff is not very warm or converstional. When you make fun little comments or ask questions, it seems as an inconvenience- or at least it did on this day. Yummy feel-good food, still recommending, but realize it's a much less social experience. From their website: In August of 1984, Brothers Rick & David Barton opened Hunky’s on Cedar Springs Road, at a time when the Oak Lawn area was still gritty, but showing signs of growth, especially within the LGBT community. The warm, welcoming environment made it a mecca of the community and propelled Hunky’s to a successful start and made it an integral part in creating the neighborhood we know today. In 1991, the Hunky’s family lost one of its founding members. In November 2005, Rick opened a second location in Bishop Arts. In February 2024, Rick sold Hunky’s and The Hamburger Man to partners Aaron Evans, Jeffrey Yarbrough and Sejal Tailor. For four decades, Hunky's Hamburgers has been more than just a place to grab a burger – it’s been the heart of the Crossroads community. Hunky’s continues to be a place of hope and comfort by serving delicious food and welcoming everyone, ensuring a good time is always on the menu.
Walked in after getting Tested and wanted something to have for dinner. After seeing this was a burger place, I immediately had to see what this place was about..wasn't disappointed! Great burger size, good pricing and even friendlier customer service being offered a water since I didn't order a drink with my meal. Will definitely reccomend if you're in the area and looking forward to trying out the other items the next time I'm in the area!😃🍔
