Went in with a busted bike and left on a new to me fixie. They priced it down for paying cash and for Christmas. I love my new bike. 1 week later I’m back in there for a new seat and I couldn’t be happier with it. Great place for all your bike needs.
Great Family owned bike shop. Every style of bike to fit your needs. We purchased our E Bikes here. Kevin who helped us was fantastic. Super knowledgeable and patient with you help feel comfortable to select a bike that works for you.
I’m a huge fan of family owned Hyland Bikes for two main reasons. One is they have great quality bikes. I recently bought a bicycle for my son that he absolutely loves. The problem was though, he didn’t know how to ride a bike. I’m super thankful to Melanie, owner of Hyland Bikes, who in just two short sessions gave him the skills and confidence to learn how to ride a bike. I knew I was in great hands because just 6 years prior, she also taught my daughter to ride a bike. Great bikes, great service and great people. This is what you get for shopping with a local, family owned company. Thank you Melanie and Hyland Bikes!
My husband Chris and I went to Hyland Family Bicycles to purchase a bike for me. We had researched different bike stores and Chris had been here before and really liked the fact that it was family owned and the service and products were top notch. I knew what he meant only moments after speaking with Kevin. He showed us two models of Liv Avail bikes. He brought the first one down and showed it to us. Chris asked Kevin a lot of "technical" bike questions that I would not think to ask. Kevin not only answered all the questions with knowledge and expertise, he spoke to both of us to ensure we both were included. When speaking with us he maintained eye contact all along which is very important to me as it shows a sign of respect and honesty. He then asked for my height and adjusted the bike accordingly. He adjusted it perfectly. I rode it around the parking lot for a few minutes and I was sold! We didn't even look at the other bicycle. When Kevin's brother, Bill Jr. was adding different pedals, Kevin was telling us about the history of Hyland Bicycles and little tidbits that you do not see on the internet. It was so interesting to hear about the family history. Chris asked some questions about his bike and Bill answered them to his satisfaction. They are a good team. Chris even spoke of another bike store, Wheel Away and Kevin said they help each other out. What a great business plan. I am so pleased with the service, products and support this family provides. I highly recommend Hyland Family Bicycles. I am now a dedicated customer.
Update 4/2/25: My pedal unscrewed and destroyed the Crank Arm threads. Unfortunately, the part was out of stock at Aventon, but the Customer Service guy was very helpful and taught me that this is a generic part and my local bike shop (Hyland Family Bicycles) should have it and the puller. They did and I'm back riding an hour later ❗ Purchased and installed the massive Tannus Armour Tire Liners and new tubes on my Fat Tire Ebike today after too many flats and DIY installation was a minor PITA, but the dude working at the store was very helpful. 😎
