Small, but so expertly curated that I could have spent all day in there. Restrained myself coming away with three books, but could easily have walked out with many more and a Frank Zappa jigsaw. Also, for accessibility, I LOVED that the bottom row of shelves books was angled such that you could read the spines of all the books without crouching down. So convenient and comfortable.

This small and friendly West End bookshop is a model of what a local bookshop can be and a joy to visit. The owners' enthusiasm for books is evident from both curation and display. There is always good and knowledgeable advice on hand and an efficient system for ordering any title not immediately available. There is an appealing section of books for the youngest reader onwards and a section with appealing cards and gift wrap. Dog friendly too!

Shop keeper was rude for no reason. Partner and I were browsing books when we were interrupted by the person behind the counter asking if she could help us. We said we were browsing, to which she responded by trying to guilt trip us into buying a book; by claiming people come in, take photos, and leave to buy on Amazon. Didn't let us browse in peace, real bad way to try drum up business. Not needed. Not necessary. Good way to drive customers away.

A great selection of books. It's a pity to learn the owners have decided to take a backseat but there is no defeating father time. I hope they will continue to carefully select the best books, subjects and authors, modern literature has to offer.

Bad news first: if you're looking for Amazon like discounts and a cosy coffee shop, this is not the place for you. This place is, first and foremost, a plain and simple bookshop. The good news is that this bookshop is dog friendly (our dog seems to remember which corner the dog toy box sits and that a dog biscuit might be offered), and the curating of "customers who bought this item also bought" beats Amazon hands down and means that I'm always popping in to see what's new.
